Maybank f&f 8%
Citi div 8%

For dinning, can use BoC Zaobao for 10% and nowadays, many restaurants accept UnionPay. For those not, use BoC Family cards. So you will not lose on dinning, but could earn more because of 10% instead of 7%.

Zaobao min spending is 600 and rebates cap at 80.

I assume you use BoC Family mainly for dinning 7%.

Zaobao and Family can add up to 1500.

The next difficulty is to find a way to spend $600 on zaobao card.

Even assuming you can spend $600 on dining, hard to find many places that accept it.

Y'all living some lavish lives spending so much on food.

I don't.

But the person I quoted complained the cap too low for dinning with BoC Family Card. He/she spends > 1500 monthly on BoC Family card, without groceries. I assume that he/she spends a lot on dinning.

online is difficult to find acceptance of UnionPay, but dinning is not that difficult, especially with many tourists from China.

BOC Family card has changed the minimum spending from $500 -> $700, but so far no change on $500/$1500 of BOC SmartSaver spending bonus, right?

Yes, confirm + chop.

1) Checked website , no change or note published any changes (YET).
2) Called CSO to confirm
3) (Pending) Wrote in, waiting for response, but most likely same understanding

Thanks soul77. After reviewing the new terms and conditions, guess this is still the card for me although need some work now to check individual cap so as not to hit the cap and don't get anything in the end.

Combine this with the Zaobao card, if opportunity arises, use zaobao card first, if fail then check family card individual cap first before using.

The "Supermarket, FP ATU, Telecom. bills" can easily hit for a family of 4.

Besides the bonus interest. That 0.4% you mentioned is the base interest rate. For saving above 60k, the balance above 60k get 0.6% + 0.4% interest rate.

Anyway to see the breakdown of interest received for the month?

do you receive the base and bonus interest all at one go?

base interest comes first, bonus interests usually comes in around middle of the month (will be separated into different categories so it's relatively easy to reconcile)

There is bonus interest on the 50000 RMB, but not the same amount as SGD account. It is fixed at 2% which is 6-month RMB fixed deposit rate.

I'd asked at the bank and was advised that the RMB amount in the MCSA will have very low interest rate. The main purpose of that RMB feature is to allow one to pay in RMB using the Debit card and not incur any credit card fees.

If you wish to have good interest for the RMB, you'll need to open up a RMB fixed deposit with them. The promotion rate is higher than SGD's.
