I still setup the Giro payment for my income tax and pay monthly via CardUp depending on how much I need to hit for my credit card spend. The balance of the income tax for the month gets paid by Giro.

Do you guys still pay your income tax through Giro even though you are using Cardup?

Basically he still take adv on IRAs giro arrangement. Let's say his monthly tax obligation is 1k. His credit card spending requirement is 400$. He used cardup to pay 400 while the giro will deduct 600.

Let’s say my Income tax is $1000 per month by Giro. I schedule $600 payment via Credit Card/CardUp for BOC Family Rebate Card (Actual payment to IRAS will be $584.80: less 2.6% CardUp fee). It will hit the $600 rebate for Online transactions.

On the Giro date, the balance ($415.20) will be deducted via Giro.

Ok thank you.. if you could check if i comprehen correctly... iras send me the giro schedule already and each month is 100 from my boc bank account. Since per giro needs to be 30, i will then pay 70 via cardup and the remainder will be reduced to 30 via giro from the bank account automatically.. will there be a case iras deduct 100 still?

Don't pay $70 monthly by cardup, there is minimum fee if payment less than $130. If u use cardup to pay your tax, then don't depend on this giro as one of the 3.

Oh so any monthly bill less than $130 shouldn’t use cardup? Like that I can’t use for my tax or telco already

If u want to pay in monthly like "giro" auto pay, it become not so worth it.

Why pay telco through cardup? Telco can charge directly to cc.

Why $600? Not $500 meh?

There are 3 diff amounts to consider

$500 CC spend to hit bonus interest for BOC SmartSaver

$600 rebate limit for Online transactions for BOC Family CC

$700 CC spend per billing cycle for BOC Family CC for rebates from 24 May onwards

Why $600? Not $500 meh?

Correct abit

$600 for online transaction if only u wan to get the cap rebate. Otherwise $700 min spend is enough

Is the SS FC still the best pairing if I can qualify salary 6k, 50-60k savings, 1.6k FC use, 3 Giro bills?

Abit hard to strategize when there are 2 things to consider.

Don’t know to Giro my telco bills to hit 3 Giro bills, or telco via FC for 5% rebate.

Can easily pay any 3 bills (eg credit card) of $30 each via ibanking or mbanking to get interest for bill payment. Should use family card to pay major telco bill to get rebate

Oh, it doesn't need to be GIRO?

So I can make a fast transfer to pay other bank CC bills and it's counted? but how would it tracked as a bill?
