BOC called to terminate all my BOC accounts. What's the next best account+cc for salary credit and spending? Thanks.

Thanks. Had a look at it, have some queries.maybank saveup + visa platinum
Thanks. Had a look at it, have some queries.
- GIRO to pay the the maybank visa platinum cc counted?
- If not, is there such a thing as GIRO to transfer $ to another bank acc? Or is that classified as Standing Instruction and not GIRO.
CC spending of $500 not so ideal as the platinum visa tier is $300 and $1000. Only way to maximize it is $1000. Some queries on the CC:
- The Saveup website has some exclusions for the minimum spend of S$500. Besides those listed, any other exclusions that qualify for SaveUp?
- For the CC cash rebate itself, any particular spending not eligible? E.g. Cardup.
Thanks. Will read more when free.
Simpler alternative I'm thinking of is DBS Multiplier (~2%) + spend on UOB One CC (trying to see any exclusions to reach $2000)
Already have uob one acc. Need next best. ThanksThink Giro to Maybank CC not counted.
Why not consider UOB One account + UOB One CC?
Bills payment,
1. Credit cards(multiples, hopefully min. 2 , please pay only 30bucks , and not more. The rest pay through boc debit card to earn 0.1% rebates)
2. Utilities (usually hardest to get a rebates, but actually there is one way of getting rebates for this, if you explore hard enough in this thread (4.5% rebates))
3. Telco (not recommended unless you have got no 2nd choice, because it is better off paying through Dbs live fresh card which earn you a 5% rebates or other cards)
4. Family member/friends credit cards/telco bills/utilities bills.
Manual payment is better , you get to control the sum of payment.
Went to a branch today to open the BOC Smartsaver account. They got a bunch of forms filled and took copies of my (employment pass and other) documents. But then said that they need "approval from HQ" for opening the account and will get back to me in week. If approved, I have to go back to the branch.
Is this what other people experienced as well?
not for me.
r u a foreigner?
vegavega25 is EP holder, so is foreigner status. The EP expiry date may affect smooth application or not. Usually must be at least 6 month and above. Similar to when we travel to other country, passport expiry date better have more than 6 month.not for me.

Does payment to CardUp on BOC Family Card count as "Spending" for this?
"From 1 February 2018, payments done via any AXS network, utility bill payments, donations and payments to non-profit organizations (including but not limited to religious organizations) as well as government related payments (including but not limited to government purchases, court costs, fines, bail and bond payments and tax payments) classified by the Visa/Mastercard worldwide network will not be eligible for cash rebates."
Means BOC debit won't clock anymore 0.1%?
Counted as online spending in the card rebate as well as card spending in smart saver.
Awesome. As long as counted as spending in smartsaver!
