it is a bit of a hassle to move around.

but it is a good thing that all banks are moving towards such "packaged" transactions to make clients consolidate their transactions to make clients earn higher interest rates. more competition means any bank is unlikely to reduce benefits. probably OCBC will increase benefits to retain customers? =:p

Hope ocbc inreases the rates then

BOC Bonus Interest only applicable on the first S$60,000 of your BOC Smartsaver account balance.

The remaining 40k you can deposit in other bank for higher interest account or FD.

For BOC, above S$60,000, you still can get 1.0%, same to CIMB FastSaver.

What else accounts can get you higher interest rates, if no monthly salary crediting? Only if HR/finance allows for salary crediting to several bank accounts.

Not same, CIMB FastSaver can get 1% for first 50K, BOC is 1% above 60k and need to fulfill at least 1 of Card Spend, Salary Crediting or Payment.

I am confused by the Extra Savings Bonus interest.
Both points below are taken from the BOC website.
Do i enjoy 1% or 0.60% interest on balance above $60k?

1) In addition, enjoy 1.00% p.a. on your account balance above S$60,000 when you have fulfilled at least one of the above criteria.

2) Extra Savings Interest

Enjoy 0.60% p.a. Extra bonus interest when you have fulfilled at least one of the requirements for either Card Spend, Salary Crediting or Payment bonus interest.
Payment bonus is applicable to your account balance above S$60,000 subject to a maximum of S$1,000,000.

If you can spend additional $500 and make 3 GIRO to an account, you can consider UOB One Account with UOB One Card.

1%.

0.6% from Extra Savings Interest and 0.4% base interest.
