BF has a Red Color Union Pay Card from this same BOC bank, will his spending on the red card be counted together as total card spend in the Silver Color Cultrual debit card?

Yes. Eligible spending across all his boc credit/debit cards are counted towards card spend bonus interest on his smartsaver account.

Just a question on that 6K?

It is net pay right? So even if my salary is over 6K, due to my employee share deduction and CPF, it goes below 6K, I still dont qualify right?

Salary amount credited to the bank account has to be above 6k.

If salary credited to the bank is $6000 and above, bonus interest for salary is 1.6%. If between $2000 and $6000, still get bonus interest for salary but 0.8% only.

Yeah, his question was specific to bonus interest for >6k salary.

For the purpose of the bank account, credit card spends posted within the calendar month are considered. Thus for credit card spends that post during August 1-31, 2019, the bonus bank account interest will be credited by the 9th working day of September.

Credit card spending is based on transaction or posting date? Took so long for spending to appear in the internet bank transaction

Posting date. So be careful not to try spending too close to last day of month just to fulfill the minimum spend requirement.

BOC Smart Saver Card Spend Bonus Interest

Which BOC credit cards you guys using to earn the card spend bonus interest?

None of their credit cards look good. Spending above $1500 will earn you 1.6% PA Bonus interest rate on 60K, which translates to ~$80 per month.

if you think about it, $80 for $1500 card spend is about 5.33% rebate, with no "bonus interest" to your 60k in the account.

I'm already using UOB One card with consistent $2000 spend, giving me 5% credit card rebate and 10% grab transactions rebate. On top of that, UOB One account gives me 2.44% EIR on 75K account balance with credit card spend and 3 Giro Payments.

I wonder if its worth it to transfer my spending to BOC cards to hit the 1.6% bonus interest for the BOC smart saver account.

The only card worth exploring seems to be BOC Elite Miles Word Mastercard?

Yes, BOC Elite Miles World Mastercard is the right option

Agree.

BOC Family sucks big time. Combine with BOC Sheng Siong if you shop at Sheng Siong aplenty, which gives 6% cashback no questions asked and which could take a bite out of the required spending on the (strictly speaking, inferior) Elite Miles card.
