but it still contributes to $500 and $1500 smart saver right?
The family card need to pay annual fee, but this card probably easily get fee waiver

if you can reap the benefits of the other cards, then recommend to take them. if you're ok to monitor, then ensure that u kill the cards right b4 annual fee is charged. stay away from Elite miles card.

otherwise, shop card and debit card spends eligible for smartsaver interest.

Why would they do that?

Be aware of use BOC. I also received a call to ask for account closure. Initially a lady called me saying account review. Said they saw few PayNow incoming funds every month with various amount. It’s really just few, all about from 100+ to few hundred. None more than1k for my tutoring fee. Then she said once a while I also transferred out with an unusual name ‘ME’. So ridiculous, transferred to myself, they also got problem. I told them their questions were too unreasonable. Few days later, they called me to terminate my Zaobao card and account.

They chose to terminate your account even though you answered truthfully and explained all these to her?

I also use it every mth just to do 2 paynow and pay 3 bills to earn the $5 plus a bit more interest. I only keep 1.5k

So the lesson learnt is: dun use fictitious names like "ME".

Someone shared many mths ago his acct was closed because he use it to "make money" from BOC.

I use PayNow and pay 3 bills, keep 1.5k too. My PayNow money from tuition, not myself.

ok, my paynow is from my own acct with another local bank

So they are suspicious about your fictitious transfer out and paynow in (company?), difference between yours and mine.
