it's not officially announced yet so take it with a pinch of salt
wanna open smartsaver so the staff share this info with me b4 i proceed
i can't take photo of the changes so it's purely based on my memory

conditions for xtra interest: no change

card spend: 1.6 > 0.7 / 0.8 > 0.35
salary: 1.2 > 0.7 / 0.8 > 0.35
bill payment: no change
xtra savings: 0.6 > 0.3
base interest: 0.4 > 0.2

max savings to earn xtra interest increase from 60k to 80k

once again it's unofficial and for u guys to start planning ahead first

Thanks for the info

So for 60K drop from max of 3.55 to 1.95

Or, for 80K drop from 2.9125 to 1.95.

Btw, excellent memory to remember so much. Well done, sir.

sigh... :(

I just joined because of card spend and they cut it by more than half.

was intending to use this account for everything except salary (already used for OCBC360) and looks like max is around 1.25%... (0.7%+0.35%+0.2%). extra cash will only earn 0.3% + 0.2% = 0.5% (may as well put in eSaver/iSavvy).

can I check with those who use bill payment to get 0.35% (by paying min. three $30 bills), is it OK to pay only $30 to BOC for a bill which is more than $30? and the rest pay using another bank/card by GIRO?

e.g. SingTel bill - $50, currently billed to UOB card by GIRO and paid by UOB One.
can I use BOC to pay $30 and then UOB will GIRO deduct the remaining $20 from UOB One?

Of course. I always pay $30 for 3 separate CC and use the BOC debit card to pay the rest via AXS.
