reminder- whoever gg to activate this at branch- should verify the activation is for online alone or also apply to mobile apps too

I went down BOC to apply for the Sms OTP Liao. The staff gave me the what are you talking look - and went in and out of their office twice before finding out how to do it. Lol

You need to login with your mobile banking username and password which were separately set.

Going to branch IS only for linking SMS OTP... :s13:

You set your mobile banking user name and password through the normal internet banking, no need to go branch for that.

> Service Setting
>> Change Password
>> Account Number Comparison
>> Service Records
>> Mobile Banking Services

When was this implemented? I just opened a BOC SuperSaver last week and they said no such thing as SMS OTP.

SMS OTP Login is a new feature introduced for both our Personal Online and Mobile Banking. It serves as an alternative second factor authentication on top of our current eToken.
A 6-digit OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number via SMS to authorise and complete your login to Personal Online or Mobile Banking services.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Providing you a secure online experience is our highest priority. We recognize that your privacy and security are of the utmost importance and have devoted a great deal of effort to ensure that your personal information is safeguarded. Existing customers who would like to register for this service can simply proceed to any of our BOC branches and apply for SMS OTP Login service on-the-spot.
