Lol. How they are marketing appears to be the standard way banks interpret interest. It is easier to understand and execute and it is consistent across banks for comparison sake.True ah. 4got abt tt.

Anyone knows if BOC debit card is accepted at AXS machine?
As in nets? No nets on boc debit card.
As in Mastercard debit card
the BOC family card gives 7% on dining everyday from 18 Apr onwards...that should help you hit the spend.just read through all of 84 pages here. already have ocbc 360 a/c and was considering between uob1 and boc smartsaver for the excess funds.
seems like boc one is a better choice since i already credited salary to ocbc (1/2%) and the giro requirement for uob1 is a pain.
problem now is hitting the $500 cc spend mthly. currently have about a fixed $300 spend on bills and stuff mthly. need to think how to spend on the other $200, any idea guys?
was thinking if i sld cancel my giros and just pay mthly instead.
never cancel giro before, is it troublesome?
Thanks guys.
Just wondering, is there a thread for this

This is a very good way to transfer $$ out to china and vice versa. Can change at money changer at a good rate and deposit/earn interest, then withdraw in China.
Not sure about the interest and anytime can withdraw things.
Anybody?

I placed RMB 3k, 3% for 1 year in cash. Counter say withdraw in cash may have charges. On maturity, when withdraw, they gave the principle in RMB but interest converted to SGD. Amount too small ... dint bother to see if there were charges.

Sorry Bro, where did you happen to see this news? Din manage to locate this piece of info in the BOC website...
