For Starhub Mobile, Insurance, other CC Bills and Singtel Mio TV, do you all use the Bill Payment function in their Ibanking or sign up Giro from the company side?

Possible for recurring payment in BOC?

Can apply GIRO to pay but I prefer to just pay using pay bill in ibanking, more control.

Was just wondering about this. Need advice:

I just opened a BoC smartsavers acc, i can continue to use ocbc 360 to continue my salary crediting to earnt that 1.2% of the salary creditied (BoC only 0.8% and i take home less than 6k salary).

Then park all the money in BoC to earn the prevailing interest and the interest from bill payment and cc spend using BoC acc.

So in total, i can still earn as such:

1.2% (from ocbc 360) + 0.8%(BoC $500 cc spend) + 0.35%(BoC bill payment) + 0.35% (BoC prevailing interest if more than 20k in acc)

Total interest earn: 2.7%

Is my calculation correct or am i missing something?

Not correct. If all your savings is in BOC, you will not get any interest from OCBC.

Does anyone knows if topping up ez-link card with cc at the ticketing machine counts towards the $500/$1500 spend bonus?

Totally wrong. Doesn't work that way. The interest cannot split like that to count and add together. You just random take 50k 50k sum put both account and count and you get what I mean instead of having 100k in one.

interest dont calculate this way

simple e.g.

if u only have $1k

1000 x 4% = $40

if u split into 2 banks

500 x 2% = $10
500x 3% = $15

based on your calculation you should yield 5% but in actual absolute amount you only receive $25

Effective rate 2.5%

You don't earn interest on your salary amount credited, you earn interest on total balance in your account. So if you credit salary to OCBC then take out and put into BOC, you don't get any bonus interest on your salary credit

Yes. I use BOC shop card, and I get the spend bonus. The transaction is listed as "consumption" in BOC internet banking.

You can use your POSB or DBS cards to pay other credit cards or bills. So if you don't have enough bill payments I suggest to pay to at least 2 dbs/posb cards
