Any idea why BOC Smart Saver send hardcopy statements?

Had visited the branch and called, they said it is temporary sending hard copy and it will "eventually" be e-statements.

I cannot understand, if they are able to print the statements means they can convert it to PDF and put to online iBanking for download, no? Isn't this means additional cost to BOC?

Anyone facing this issue? Quite irritating to receive hardcopy statements, prefer e-statements.

Not really an issue to me as I can see the last 3 month's transaction in ibanking and it suffice for me. I feel the hardcopy is quite redundant, just a waste of paper, but since I cannot do anything about it I just don't bother about it.

u mean, quit my job and join boc... ?

dang, why didnt i think of that...i am sure it makes a lot sense for that 1.2%!

so far I am happy with boc customer service as I can speak good Mandarin.
got the ibanking and cards long time ago and the interface quite ok la. simple functionality.
but I did not really use it as I stick to ocbc360 and spending the cc.
since OCBC does not want to entertain loyalty customer then I better jump to the bank who keen to offer me the same or better benefits.
I got posb acct to backup for urgent cash needs as the ATM is much easier to locate.
BOC I will just keep for salary deposits , cc spends to earn interest.
wonder if they will change the rates again at the end of the year
