Bills payment,
1. Credit cards(multiples, hopefully min. 2 , please pay only 30bucks , and not more. The rest pay through boc debit card to earn 0.1% rebates)

2. Utilities (usually hardest to get a rebates, but actually there is one way of getting rebates for this, if you explore hard enough in this thread (4.5% rebates))

3. Telco (not recommended unless you have got no 2nd choice, because it is better off paying through Dbs live fresh card which earn you a 5% rebates or other cards)

4. Family member/friends credit cards/telco bills/utilities bills.

Manual payment is better , you get to control the sum of payment.

I don't get the boc debit card thing, is there some other rebates that a boc debit card have? So far have been paying off my full family card CC bills via the boc app's bill payment feature. :s22:

Btw speaking of utilities, now they're opening the electricity market for you to choose your own electricity provider, so far any of the lucky folks in Jurong manage to discover if any of the new electricity retailers allow for bill payments via debit/credit card? Still stuck with SP and their dinosaur age payment methods :(

Oh many thanks, you know where I can get the info?

They have this info in the very old version Q and A when the account is first introduced few years back:

“14. What is the bonus interest rate for my RMB deposits in BOC MCS account? If I do not have RMB deposits in my MCS account, can I still enjoy salary credit bonus interests on my SGD deposits?

In addition to the SGD bonus interest rate under BOC SmartSaver, you can receive extra bonus interests on RMB deposit(at least RMB1,000) in your MCS account, if you meet the requirement Bonus Interests for Salary Credit. This extra bonus interests will be calculated based on BOC’s current 6-month RMB time deposit interest rate and there is no cap to this bonus interests you can earn.
If you do not have RMB deposits in your MCS account, you are still eligible for Bonus Interests for Salary Credit on your SGD deposits.”

This cannot be found from current website, but I can still receive the bonus RMB interest when salary is credited into SGD account.

I rememberred SmartSaver is 4% if RMB >50K?

4% is the recent promotional 1 year fixed deposit interest rate. Not always there and need >50k RMB.

Smart saver multi currency RMB account basic rate is only 0.1%. Bonus is 1.9% if SGD account is funded with salary credit. Totally add up to 2% which is equal to listed 6-month fixed rate.

Does payment to govt agency count towards spending to qualify for bonus interest and rebates?

It happened to my supp card that unable to receive OTP when online payment. Although hp number is correct in their system. They tried to reset the OTP of my supp card, but still not working. Finally found out they key in wrong country code, hence the OTP can not reach.

My SMS otp used to work fine until 8 Apr. I'm not sure why?? I didn't change my number or do any update to the bank. That's why I'm puzzled
