Need help/clarification
>60k is 0.6% or 1% or 1.6%?
I quote from website:
-------
In addition, enjoy 1.00% p.a. on your account balance above S$60,000 when you have fulfilled at least one of the above criteria
-------
Extra Savings Interest
Enjoy 0.60% p.a. Extra bonus interest when you have fulfilled at least one of the requirements for either Card Spend, Salary Crediting or Payment bonus interest.
Payment bonus is applicable to your account balance above S$60,000 subject to a maximum of S$1,000,000.
Prevailing interest rate will apply to your account balance above S$1,000,000.

folks, for bill payment and card spend, does this work:
- pay my insurance via GIRO using the debit card --> card spend
- pay 3 bills (say, 3 credit cards) --> bill payment
question: does the GIRO for insurance payment using my debit card qualify as bill payment too?
0.4% is base... for additional 0.6%.. need to do anything???
As long as met any of the criteria for bonus interest i.e. salary/bill/spending then the amounts above $60k will enjoy this 0.4%+0.6%. The bonus interest for salary/bill/spending only for max $60k, so the amounts on top and above $60k only get the 0.4%+0.6%.
Thanks. 1% no additional condition sounds good for Maybank user.
Any other bank with no condition and more than 1%?
HLB iSavings, HSBC EGA...
I feel BOC is the best option at 1% for any excess funds. No need to transfer here, transfer there and the money is flexible to be deployed to stock markets at anytime.
just left boc branch, interest cut abt half from aug onwards
