is there anyway to change fast transaction limit in BOC?

Under Menu: "Debit Card Service" - Debit Card Management - Add your debit card, then Re-logon "Debit Card Service" - Transaction Limit Setting.

BOC functions are quite comprehensive, but not so user-friendly where u have to add account and re-logon in order to use.

We can also set the SMS alert to $1 and enable oversea withdraw, as well as enable/disable the paper billing under the "Debit Card Service" menu.

Actually I feel split threads at different sections of forum is okay.

Partly because it is easier to read if the threads are shorter.. imagine scrolling through a 40-50page thread.

After linking BOC credit card to be visible in the Internet Banking, where to see the billing cycle to see from when to when does one need to complete the 500 SGD spending? Or need to wait for it to show up in next month?

Guys can someone enlighten me on this? I worked out the math and to me OCBC 360 seems to be still slightly better than BOC

So let say base saving is 10k and monthly additional saving is 1k.
Fulfill all requirement except for the spending of cc card.
hence BOC interest rate is 1.875%
and OCBC will be up to 2.75% (1.2% salary, 0.5% pay bills, 1% incremental saving, 0.05% base int)

BOC
10k * 1.85% * (31/365) = $15.71 interest return
11k * 1.85% * (30/365) = $16.72 interest return

Total interest return = $32.43

OCBC 360
(10k * (1.2% + 0.5% + 0.05%) * (31/365)) + (1k * 1% * (31/365)) = $15.71
(11k * (1.2% + 0.5% + 0.05%) * (30/365)) + (1k * 1% * (30/365)) = $16.64

Total interest return = $32.35

Conclusion, OCBC 360 is still slightly better than BOC ? Is my calculation wrong ?

Let me tell you the CC spending is the difference, OCBC is already thrown down the drain because they make life difficult for Frank card users. I already ask them to close all my CC account and will do the same to my OCBC 360 account after i get HR to change my salary to be paid to BOC account.

Anyway can. She say can. Confirm liao..u can still enjoy the higher interest if you ear marked it

quote: Liu Chuanyu

lol..if not accurate dont blame me..i based on what she says lol

Confirm earmarked funds cannot. The sinkie auntie who served me explained the whole thing very clearly, definitely much more knowledgeable than the girl who served you. The funds are earmarked like previous POSB promotion, its not a FD even though it seem like one.

And for those who want to use this MCS for other currency, please note that every FCY sub-account need to be activated by putting some funds inside. I activated the RMB sub-account by changing some of my SGD to RMB so that later you can convert online whenever you want.

I think it's by calendar month.

Was just rereading the T&Cs. The interest for the bonuses are calculated on the monthly averages. So, for those interested in opening an account, better do it quickly. My projected month end balance of 60k turn out to be an average of 47k only for November.

Are you trying to activate token?
If you gotten your token from the branch it's already activated.

Your account will be locked if you already tried more than 5 times. You will need to wait after 0000 hrs to retry again.

The internet banking is terrible. For firs time login, do I click "activate and bind etoken"?

I didn't do that because the token seems to be activated and I do not see an activate code on the token. If I click login normally, I either get network error or "security level mismatch".
