I'm using BE also. 5K one lot compared to 250K standard lot. I see a lot of people share their stock/ reits dividends portfolio. Not many are aware can also create passive coupon income from buying bonds. I share my bond portfolio of both wholesale (odd lot) and retail bonds for discussion. Coupons are received every 6 months. Monthly coupons column for illustration purpose:

u read too Much!i dont "play "

i m abv 45yo too!!!!!!i m just askg a qn
I m proud of my age & Experience!

many sch of tots ~ which i respected too

Lets just say there are better options out there.
1) DBS Digi porfolio global is USD and makes you worry about the FX conversion.
2) The bond portion is USD bonds. Why should SG based investors hold US based bonds?

If you need the convenience of a Robo, maybe better to use 100% equities Endowus single fund portfolios. For bonds you have CPF, SSB, high interest accounts etc so maybe bonds may not even be needed.
https://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/threads/dbs-digiportfolio.5999164/page-14#post-137683900& sounded confident too! 4 a gd reasn
Unless you're over 60/70 and no other source of income, you should not be looking at dividend at all. Growth is more important.

Just a question, for the perptual bond, is there an option for me to sell it to the open market on this platform if I need the money?

Yes. Just click 'sell' button. I usually sell to rebalance or when fundamentals changed.

$18.75 for every lot. also there is platform fees depending on size of portfolio. I usually will take all these things in when calculating Yield to Maturity, Yield to Worst. Cannot just read off yield figures on the platform. Need to do your own calculation. But overall fees still very small percentage of coupons collected.

Need your purchase prices too, without which your actual yield cannot be calculated. Your bonds are probably not purchased at the par price.

Yes. Some are above, some below. The interesting thing about a portfolio close to 30 is the net effect cancels out. In other words, if I take the actual amount invested less the portfolio's liquidated value today (based on the bid price), it is actually close to 600K. The actual portfolio yield is also close to 4%.

I just want to demo it is possible to generate passive from bonds and possibly have a discussion about it so I thought no point preesenting all these and have a chunky table. One time I even calculated and track the portfolio's duration but has since stopped doing so. These days I don't even track the ups and downs of the individul bond prices cause I like to believe I have done the necessary risk management at curation stage - notice there is not a single USD China real estate bond in my portfolio eventhough the platform is full of them & I only trade the bonds if rebalancing or fundamentals changed.

Dun need to demo... everyone knows that bonds = fixed income = passive income. They pay out a coupon with a fixed maturity so unless the company go bankrupt/default you will always get your money back.

Problem is investment grade bonds have very low yields now, only place to get higher yield is in junk bonds but those have higher default risk, can add a bit of that risk in a bond portfolio but not too much imo.

Maybe you have $7.5mil to invest in 30X250K bonds and construct a meaningful risk mitigated bond portfolio. but I dont' think most folks have, at least I know I don't have that kind of money. Can share besides investing into a bond fund or etf, how can one construct a bond portfolio that "add a bit of that risk in a bond portfolio but not too much...?"

Huh? You can already do that on FSM. To buy wholesale bonds odd lot you only need to be A.I (1m in investable assets), dun need to have 7.5m.
