i mean the designer dont think abt it meh...

i remember i at AMK hub carpark... there is an accident at the entrance... they will open 1 'special' lane for us to get out through the other exit which normally is seal up

it's jurong, overlords cant be bothered with a slum. cheap design would do, and residents will either vote the same or walkover

Big interchange only got 2 lane, wtf designer sia. Local uni planner so lousy.

West side really cmi. Train breakdown die, bus breakdown also die. That new JRL also don't go anywhere and don't connect to DTL.

what sort of plans can they have? boon lay interchange only has that one small exit for feeder buses and a even smaller bus for trunk buses. there are way more feeder buses, and there's only 1 route, 1 lane, in and out of that small interchange entrance.

this jam is not a today happen only problem, it was a day 1 problem ever since jurong point expanded and the interchange built indoors. what happened today was just an additional wait on top of the already long wait.

really a failed planning with zero foresight

all these integrated bus hubs got the same problem...

Bus stalled outside Boon Lay Bus Interchange causes traffic standstill, 45-min waiting times for buses

image

A bus seen stalled outside Boon Lay Bus Interchange on Mar. 7 at around 8am was likely the reason for the traffic standstill in and around the area, Lianhe Zaobao reported.

Waiting times for some buses were as long as 45 minutes.

Bus drivers were seen allowing passengers to get off the bus before the drop-off point to enter the interchange on foot.

A member of the public tipped Zaobao off and provided a photo, which showed a bus with its bonnet apparently damaged.

The bus was seen parked near a zebra crossing at the slip road leading to the bus interchange.

It was believed to have been blocking the path of vehicles and causing the traffic gridlock around the bus interchange.

The person who tipped Zaobao off said: "There are also many maintenance projects in the Boon Lay area. Many roads are one-way traffic. Today's congestion has slowed down traffic. The taxi waiting area is also crowded."

A social media post showed the interchange crowded with long lines at around 7:30am.

Other posts, Zaobao reported, showed the intersection to be congested before 7am, making it difficult for buses to enter and exit the interchange.

Some buses apparently had to let passengers get off two or three stops in advance.

what more, the most busiest bus interchange around here?

guessed this is more chaotic than a train breakdown?

Drove a bit around that area over the weekend. Very messy with the JRL construction ongoing. Lucky not staying there anymore.

the peak hours queue is predominant ever since JP2 with indoor bus interchange was built. it was a day 1 problem
