thats a very fast reply!
i was looking at cebu pacific for sg-manila-Caticlan route. for kalibo route, not many airline (with relatively preferred timing) are available from sg. tigerair lands at kalibo at 4.30pm, and with 2 hrs bus ride to jetty, and then boat to island, it would be night time.

i am looking at hotels/resort with sea views with budget ard 400sgd/night. is that possible? Shangri-La hits 600sgd/night for sea views..
Haha. I was replying to GottaCatchEmAll when your post coincidentally came in. :s13:

I'm not familiar with beachfront hotels/resorts in Boracay. But a friend stayed in Fridays before. Depending on your time of visit, $400 might fit the bill.

Two Seasons is another. Pearl of the Pacific I think is where my wife and I "choped" a table while waiting for sunset.. later on a waiter/hotel staff came... ended up ordering some food. :s13:

Try checking the map here for hotels that might have a beachfront. The hotel we stayed in (Boracay Garden Resort) has its own small beachfront section reserved for their guests (they have staffs manning the beachfront). But I personally like the waters / beach -- and the lesser crowd -- in Station 1. BGR is located in the busy Station 2.

i have some queries and anyone can answer my doubts?
1. is march-may a good season (weather) to go boracay? is it considered peak months?
2. i see several options to reach boracay, any recommendation?
- SG to Kalibo (flight) to Caticlan(bus) to Boracay(boat)
- SG to Manila (flight) to Caticlan (flight) to Boracay (boat)

many thanks

I went last year Oct. Sway sway on the 3rd day kena low pressure depression but l still go swim, waves not very strong at all. But just take precaution, ferry service can be cancel at any times and flight too at Caticlan.

My best option is still SG-CEBU-CATICLAN(Boracay). Trust me. :s13:

Got my tickets from tigers at 240sgd each to Boracay on 2nd to 6th Oct.
Will be staying in Nigi Nigi Too resort due to overwhelming positive response in Tripadvisor. It will cost 179100Php

I took their round trip transfer which includes all taxes and stuff at 1,400 Php per pax. I know its kindda expensive if you compare taking the bus, ferry and transport to your hotel if you find all these yourselves. But due to long travelling , i rather pay alittle bit more so that travelling is well taken care of.

I heard of wet season, typhoon, bad weather from people if i go in Oct, well fro a cheaper hotel and airflight tickets, i have to keep my finger crossed and take the risk.

Not really sure whats my itenary gonna be like.
But heres a list of activities that i would love to try.

ATV ride
Zipline and zorb

Flyfish
Parasailing
Helmet diving
Sunset Paraw sailing

Beach massage
Bella Isa Spa
Happy dream land (not much to do except the 3D museum)

maybe those who have been there can add on to the lists?
Thanks:s12:

Like you, I also plan to try out all those listed. But the moment I reached there, I only want to swim, eat, shop, sleep, relax, smoke, drink.....Everything there will be $ 'mark' up by the agents there. Anyway, enjoy your trip.

just back from boracay.
it was a veryvery good experience. windy everyday with no rain , nice sun, fantastic and wide beach.

Tried parasailing, sunsetsail, ATV, helmet diving and flyfish for a total of 5400 php for 2pax. Which is around 158 sgd for 2 pax. Very worth it!

Tried their seafood at d'talipapa where u get to buy your own live seafood and cook at nearby stall.
1 big lobster,1 fish, 1 squid, 10 big fat prawns, 10 scallops, 2 rice n 2 drinks at 3500 peso for 2 pax. which is around 103 dollars.

At night can stroll by the beach and see blue sands =)

chinese new year is the peak season, everything will be more expensive.
but the sea will be calmer, and you get to see beautiful sunset everyday!
Sea calmer meaning to say you get to do more types of water sports activities.

Tiger fly straight to kalibo, afterwhich you will need to take a ~2hr bus ride to the jetty and transfer to a boat which takes around 5mins to Boracay island itself.

Otherwise you will need to take airflight to Manila/cebu then take domestic airflight ~2hr to catilan and then transfer to bus around 20mins to jetty and take the boat to boracay island.

july is quite a rainy month in the philippines but still depends on where the thunderstorm or typhoon will be. but if you are coming to boracay on the latter part of the month, i think it'll be okay~

Anyone knows is there a cut-off time in the evening for the 2hr~ bus ride or the boat ride from Jetty to Boracay itself?

I took tiger airways to Kalibo. Reached Kalibo ar about 430 pm. When i'm out of the immigration, I looked for the southwest tours booth and booked a one way transfer to my hotel (consisting of the bus to caticlan jetty, boat ride to boracay and van transport to hotel). I reached the caticlan jetty at about 630 pm.

If you booked the transfer from southwest tours at Kalibo airport, they will settle the rest and brings you to your hotel.
