Hi

I am heading to Boracay this coming June.. (ORD TRIP)
Hopefully the rain and moonsoon will be push back to July.

Was wondering do u have any contact / Links for $158 package
"Tried parasailing, sunsetsail, ATV, helmet diving and flyfish for a total of 5400 php for 2pax. Which is around 158 sgd for 2 pax. Very worth it!"

Thanks alot
sorry for the super late reply
i thought this thread was dead!

you dont need any contacts, just walk along the beach and there will be lots of people asking you to sign their package.
just bargain with them or tell them a lie that the guy behind you offer this and this. you offer so exp

Is sept a good time to go ?
September is wet season still, so it's like tossing a coin. One can't tell how mother nature would greet you during your stay. :)

Rains usually don't last the whole day though, and even if it were raining, you'd still be able to enjoy the beach.

The good side of September though is that it's off season, so booking your accommodation will be cheaper.

:Later,

Anyone know if it's safe to book my day activities like island hopping through those beachside people who just set up with a banner?

The 'wet' season or the off peak usually last until end of October. So now should be the transition period, nevertheless it is still a good time to go mainly because the crowd is lesser compare to the peak season and the accommodation will be relatively cheaper.
Band 1 is the nearest to the jetty, very quiet and serene place.
Band 2 is where all the restaurants/pubs, i think now theres even a mac donald will be located at. It is a lively place, much noiser but you can get access to all the fun within minutes away.
Band 3 was where i stay, just infront of the famous willy rock. Its slightly quieter, but i would say is the best place to stay and it is just around 10-15mins slow walk to band 2.
The boracay concept is, the front door is the main road, the backdoor is the beach. I had a walk from band 3 to band 1 for my massage and it took me around 40mins slow walk.

As for the activities, once step out of your resort onto the beach, there would be many people offering you their packages. Nego the prices to what you want, if not move on. I walk from band 1 to band 2 on my second morning, and i met more than 10 offers. In the end i negotiate the best offer for all my activities. Relatively cheap i must say. Its funny that they offer twice or thrice to the china chinese and they actually took it.
Enjoy your trip!

Dear IGfusion

Any nice hotel to recommend? but not too exp and 5*...haha

As going with family, prefer something nice and comfy.. so stay in band 2 or 3 is better ?

I understand band 1 is for high class hotels..

Already booked Tigerair and just found out there is a stop over at Cebu..Oh dear, never check fine print..anyone has experience do we need to get down the plane or stay on flight..

Should have booked another flight which flies direct...jialat now.

I havent booked my hotel yet. As this is monsoon season, so non peak, should be cheaper if booked nearer the check-in date, true?

The previous I went there. The rate there is better than in sg

when did you go? actually rates wise i think differ a bit wont make a very big difference overall.. im more worried of changing too much, or too little. read from a lot of places that boracay generally everything very cheap, so wondering if my usual budgeting of $80-100 per day will end up be too much

also, read that we need to tip in boracay, how much to tip in general?
