Long time ago, they travel all the way to airport to study … also no idea y need to go so far.Ha exactly.
And many of them have this “gek seh” face like racking their brains focusing very hard.
Like “this is it, my session here at Starbucks today will decide whether I become a doctor or not!”
Everytime walk past those one whole row of students I will roll my eyes.
Get a life lah![]()
Not sure about dating, but think most who go such cafe is want to be seen and be seen bah. Is often saw many who hang around such places, besides dressing decent, is either on their laptop look busy like working on something big, or stand or sit around talking to each other like in some big business deal or something.SABS = Seen And Be Seen.
Ish to ownself display ownself for others to see and approach.
Although SABSing concept ish supposed to be gender neutral, in reality it ish mostly employed by females.

Noticed everyone in the article from author to people interviewed are females.
Free wifi and power sockets. Have encountered such behavior among youngsters so many times. Some are quite thick-skinned, they don’t even bother to order a drink at all. Or simply asking for a glass of water instead to hog the table and socket.I am simply curious why Starbucks faces a hogging issue while other brands like Coffee and Tea do not?
Hmmm, why would tourists want to hog a cafe whole day? Shouldn't they be busy shopping around or sightseeing? I mean, who would spend money travel overseas and spend whole day just sitting in their cafe? This move should be to counter the influx of PRC tourists who would hog the place for a whole day and would not even order a single drink.
They just sit around to eat and drink their own stuff and hog the free power outlets.
Global barnacles.
I've been on Threads and Reddit, and it seems to be a common complaint about PRC folks. They are "poor traveling" tourists and many will book super budget hostels to cram as many folks in as possible.Hmmm, why would tourists want to hog a cafe whole day? Ahh...I did that before last time when I was backpacking in Japan.I've been on Threads and Reddit, and it seems to be a common complaint about PRC folks. They are "poor traveling" tourists and many will book super budget hostels to cram as many folks in as possible.
Then day time, just go to free sighseeing places to take photo for Weibo or film themselves dancing for Douyin.
In the process, climb a few trees, break a few branches and pluck a bunch of flowers.
When they get tired, they'll go sit down on the floor in supermarkets, sleep at Ikea or eat their own food in Mac/Starbucks. Free Aircon mah. Can go take all the free toilet paper from public toilets too.
Travel but don't want to spend money at all cos Hong Kong is expensive. Not to mention rude and purposely don't want to speak Mandarin. So have to go Hong Kong and teach them a lesson remind them to not forget about motherland and must give thanks.
