rather clueless abt drilling here. lets say if i ask the pro shop ppl to drill the ball for straight bowlers like me...does it mean the ball cant hook anymore?

cos i know that hook balls the distance between the 3 holes r further as compared to normal balls.

Technically, if you want the ball to go as straight as possible, you'll want something like a blue dot. Not implying that reactive urethane balls are not suitable for straight bowlers but the core design, pin placement and hook potential will come into play and it will affect your game play due to the difference in oiling patterns. It is definitely possible to drill the ball to go straight but its kinda overkill for a straight ball approach....imho.

For straight bowlers, you will most probably be using the conventional grip with 2/3 of your fingers inserted into the bowling holes, as for hook bowlers, the fingertip grip will be the most common followed by the semi fingertip grip.

I've personally seen quite a few straight bowlers with a slight hook or reversal hook(backup) due to their release and ball drilling so it really boils down to what you really want and like. For me, I always advise new comers to master their straight ball before attempting to move on to hooking styles because the basics of a straight ball approach will home your coordination, approach, delivery and most importantly mucsle memory on the ball release.

Etonic has taken bowling shoe construction to an entirely new level of performance and comfort.

The Stabilite Plus is the first bowling shoe to incorporate a multi-piece phylon mid-sole with a wrap-around TPU Stabilizer bride bio-mechanically designed to lock the heel in place. The interior of the shoe features a newly created comfort last with matching Bi-Fit contoured insoles. The outsole features a modified Goodyear traction sole and includes Perfect slide sole technology (interchangeables soles included: PS2, PS4, PS6, PS8, PS10). Full-grain leather uppers and doe skin lining for comfort and breathability.

US Size 9.0, 9.5 Medium (for Right Handed Bowler) (RP: S$250) - Selling at S$180.
