Feeling strained in wrist so I wish to learn the way of hook/spin using with thumb by buying a package of stuffs (bowling ball, shoes, guard etc). hi, you can go to proshop and buy the reactive package. from there probably if the proshop is good, they will ask you what is your playing style, and drill according to your style.

I has spoken to the proshop at Kovan Superbowl. He recommended me a normal ball at $180 - 200 for entry level. I asked again using reactive ball for entry level but he recommended at 14lbs which is too heavy for me to grip. I am using 10/11 lbs houseball but mostly 10lbs. Tried 13 lbs houseball today, the ball controlled me instead.

Firstly I used to be like you many yrs ago started on 10 or 11 pounds house ball. Carrying a 14 pound reactive ball is different from yoou trying 14 pound house ball. As the ball is drilled to your profile thus you will find it not as heavy as a 14 pound house ball.

And anything below 14 pound no point buy reactive as don't really think can hook much also....

I read on other forums, it's best to go with 11lbs onwards for spinner but if I'm accustomed to using a 10lbs ball, will a 11lbs be ok for me?

Should I buy a BN ball or its ok to buy a 2nd hand ball then get it replugged?

Well when you buy a 11lb its acutally not much a difference with a 10lb especially that it is drilled to your profile while a houseball isnt.

If you buy a BN one it should cost you ard 17x with shoe ball bag.

as for a used one should be around 50 but you still need to bring to proshop to replug/redrill which cost you another 50+

So i propose you go for a BN one at least you get free guidance and more understanding on the balls.
