Mr Ong urged healthcare workers to "hang in there for a while more".

If Singapore is like other countries, cases should fall in the coming few weeks, with society becoming stronger each day and moving closer to normalcy, he said.

"It is no longer light at the end of tunnel, but barring unforeseen circumstances, it is something within our grasp," added Mr Ong.

"Please convey our thanks to your family members and loved ones too, for supporting you through these difficult times. Take care, and thank you."

They already hang in there for 2 years.

PAP only solution is to tell people meh meh pak vaccine and booster. Why should anyone trust PAP Minister words and useless vaccines?

Then later Ong Ye Kun complain Covid never stick to the script again.

healthcare worker has been hanging there since there had started working. Especially for Nurses. Its not a easy job from day 1 and definitely deserves a lot of respect. By not considering their workload is already an insult.

If I am complaining to my boss and the management about the manpower shortage since 2020 and this is their response to me and my colleagues, I will use the following the following sign language:

Weak leaders who tell you to hang in there, bite the bullet are not there to help or improve your situation. Forcing someone to endure a painful or negative situation for two years is terrible.
