Problem is even mid range Intel are of F series that comes without IGP which you need right now. Hence, i would suggest going for AMD APU. Next time just upgrade to 6-8 cores CPU + discrete graphics.

APU+MB+WIFI+BT: AMD Ryzen 3 2200G + Gigabyte B450 I AORUS PRO WIFI @ $307 (PC Themes)
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-2933 CL16 16GB Dual Channel Kit [Black] @ $117 (Fuwell)
Splurge now while still cheap. Don't regret when price spikes later.
SSD: Lexar NS100 128GB [SATA 6Gbps] @ $29
Next time change to NVMe when you are ready to play games.
PSU: FSP Dagger 600W SFX [80 Plus Gold] @ $135
CASE: Fractal Design Node 202 @ $125
OS: Microsoft Windows 10 Pro 64-bit Product Key @ $3 (Taobao)

GRAND TOTAL: $701*°

Prices from Lazada unless indicated, exclude shipping fees.

*after Lazada DBS/POSB $10 off min $80 spending Bank coupon [TBA every Thursday]
°after Lazada SAFRAPERKS 8% discount max $5 Cart promo code [Ends 31/08/19]

bruh .. what ram you used ?? and no blue screen ?? from the online review .. see alot of problems non QVL rams .. advise ?

Used Crucial Ballistix Tactical 2x4gb 2666mhz cl16 can run at full speed.
Tried 2x4gb 3000mhz cl15 kingston ram ended up running at 2933mhz cl16.

Didn't bother to check QVL. Usually if not on QVL, the difference is only that your ram may not be able to run at the full advertised speed (like my kingston ram). No issues with BSOD or booting up.

Basically don't have to worry too much which ram you get.

Why is everyone recommending TS to opt for much more expensive, higher speed RAM when he clearly states not into gaming??

local 2400mhz/2666mhz ram price practically the same and export set 3000mhz is only a little bit more exp. hence no harm getting 3000mhz but can still stick to 2666mhz if tight budget, there's no one here that asked him to buy rams that are much more expensive (eg. samsung b-die) ...
