Isn't the motherboard component quality is about the same? Mobo reliability and how long it can last still all depends on how you use it and also on heng sway. The longevity of these boards is about the same isn't it.

Difference between the z and h mobo is just that z mobo have more high end and extra features and led bling bling. And the ability to overclock cpu. It doesn't really mean they will last longer then H mobo. If you are not overclocking it's better to go for H mobo with non k CPU to save cost isn't it.

Performance between H and z mobo will be the same if you run a non-oc aka locked CPU on it.

Not true, pricier motherboards have more features and hence more points of failure.

Ok la let's put it this way. If budget allows and you like it just buy z series boards if not just buy h series boards. There's no right or wrong, all depends on whether you got money and you like it or not. Better to put it this way ?

Now you are digressing from prudence for longevity to 'if got money just whack'.

Apparently it doesn't work out for TS since he mentioned wanting a better graphics card i.e GTX 1080. Unless there is spare budget to burn on flashier motherboards after fitting in a GTX 1080, it is simply not prudent to go for it especially if there isn't a need.

Apparently it doesn't work out for TS since he mentioned wanting a better graphics card i.e GTX 1080. Unless there is spare budget to burn on flashier motherboards after fitting in a GTX 1080, it is simply not prudent to go for it especially if there isn't a need.

If you can wait that's the best. AMD Zen also coming next February... Finally more choices after 6 years wait.

lol. Actually last year want to build pc liao then one person here told me skylake coming so put on hold. Then want to get GTX970 graphic card and people told me to wait for a while as GTX1070, 1080 launching. But when it launch, out of stock very quickly. Now want to buy and Kaby lake launching another 4 months. Guess will wait again.

Nope. Usually I only see what casing does the shop has and then choose from there. And also need to check if the casing can fix in the parts (some graphic card size is big)

The shop may not have a good selection. You might want to check out the casings on Lazada and at least get a general idea what type of casing tickles your fancy.
