not anymore, amazon sg has a couple of crucial ddr5 4800mt kits thats only slightly higher than ddr4 pricing, 2x 8gb for 95 or 2x 16gb for 190. even though this isnt exactly the fastest ddr5 around, it offers comparable performance to high end low latency ddr4, so u can get these for cheap first and upgrade down the road when prices drop.

Saw a set of 2x16gb 5600mhz corsair vengeance on amazon sg going for 220$. its not overpriced anymore.

saw u posted in another thread, but ill just reply to this one. nothing wrong to create a new thread and keep the clutter down.

but anyway, this is terrible value. average pc use can be covered by any decent cpu from the past couple of years, no need 12900k + z690 + ddr5. u are also probably better serviced with a rx 6600 @ ~$450 (local set w warranty, can find on amazon sg for 350) for very comparable performance with 3060. i might further suggest getting a far cheaper but still good quality pcie3 nvme like the samsung 970 series (~$150 on amazon sg), as u probably wont be able to feel any difference in regular use.

the above advice is for diy, but seems like u are getting from a system integrator. for full system builds from si, something similar to what i suggested above can be had for about 1.5k, eg. dreamcore Foundation+ Tier 2.5 AMD AMD Ryzen 5 3600 | RX 6600 with storage upgrades. also, avoid 3050s like the plague.

take note on the motherboard selected was DDR4 mismatch incompatible with DDR5 ram stick.

you need a 3rd party cpu cooler with LGA1700 compatible socket.

if u are not into overclocking, not worth spending the premium on k cpu and z690 as mentioned previously. the 12700 non k is very similar in performance to 12700k, and get a b660 board to go with it, both of which should be considerably cheaper.

both overkill for average pc use, u will be paying extra for unnoticeable differences. as mentioned before, a good quality pcie3 nvme will be indistinguishable from a pcie4 one in day to day use. also, a 750w psu is a lot for a pc with only a 6600, plus u are paying a premium for literally just the rog strix brand. see if u can get a corsair rm or seasonic focus 650w unit for less.

Not really. You are overspending on CPU + MB and RAM. Gaming priority should be the GPU as long as your CPU has enough headroom.

I suggest not getting anything more than 12700 for the CPU, and better to go with DDR4 instead of DDR5. Spend the remaining budget on your GPU and the rest of the parts. Save the rest.

Also who is trying to sell u a 3060 for 979 wtf..
