total: $1949. u dont really need the fuma2 cooler if ur not doing core heavy workloads, and i would still advise u to consider cheaper nvmes as there are quickly diminishing returns; a sn770 that is more than $30 cheaper will do the job just as well as a sn850 in all but the most demanding tasks. liddat can easily save another $100+ on top of the $500 saving from ur quoted price, all while obtaining basically the same performance and experience.

i would also recommend holding out a while longer if not urgent as replied to ts, once next gen launch current gen will drop in price.

Nah, its not enough unless you have a very strong 6 core.

CPU demanding games like cyberpunk already can put CPU like 5600 and 12400 near 100%.

It depends on the overall setup, game title, and game settings.

In higher-res 1440p/4k, you will be increasingly GPU-bound. If you look at this, and observe, the GPU is already capped, yet CPU usage is still sitting at 80%. It is not even sitting at high framerates.


Something to note is that the player is just driving around, with not much going on. The funny thing about this game is that the AI uses a lot of CPU resources yet still behaves stupidly.

What's the point of showing measurement in a completely dead zone? This is in contrast to the one I showed, which has more entities, such as vehicles and NPCs, that better represent actual gameplay. It's obvious that the CPU usage will be higher in the busier scenario.

In your own example video below, look at BF5 during 9:57. This is an actual gameplay scenario when a player moves about with simple stuff around but is NOT engaged in combat. It's hovering around 73%, and just one projectile launched from the left and flying pass got it to 85% CPU usage.

make it simple for you. Those "benchmark" channels do not own the gpus or cpus they claim to.

At this point, it doesn't matter whether the initial video was real or fake.

The video you linked, which you claimed was legit due to the creator showing face, has double-confirmed that the current 6-core does not suffice for CPU-demanding titles under busy scenarios. Besides, you failed to notice that the CPU usage in CP2077 is hovering at a low 50% only due to the zone being completely empty. In the same video, BF V easily pushed 70-90% because there was activity.


Another video below shows the owner's possession of the hardware during the first 10 seconds.

The measurements from 10:30 show 5600X CPU usage in CP 2077. Under busy scenarios, it is hovering around 70 to 90 percent. This is @ around 98 FPS which is within a reasonable margin.


Anyway, all these aren't surprising, and I have seen them from my own encounters. Anyone that has touched a couple of modern configurations and playing games with OSD monitoring is already well aware of how much a modern 6 core can do. Besides, there are more CPU-demanding games out there.

The findings show that the GTX 1070TI is heavily bottlenecking and only manages to generate 50+ FPS when moving in the crowd. Despite being heavily GPU-bound, the CPU usage is immense in crowded areas surging over 90% at times.

When pairing this with a better GPU, such as the RTX 3060 or above, setting higher settings will easily bring the 6-core CPU down to its knees.

We are in 2022, moving towards 2023. There is seriously no need to further debate this old topic of 6 core 8 core nonsense. The answer is obvious.
