guys,
tks for the recomendation. has been a great guide for me. By the way, i saw the Kingston 2gb Pc3 10600 1333M ram price was selling around the same cost as team elite 4gb kit, is it due to kingston less stable?

how cum u din choose a faster card? :s42:

not a heavy gamer myself, only do some graphic-intense work like video editing, other times juz web surfing, CS3 and coy presentation prep, hence rather spend more on cpu and mobo. more importantly, with limited budget to my coy benefit claim. =:p

Hello guys; new here

I'm in a design course, requiring me to use Maya, MudBox and Photoshop extensively, need a quad core rig to handle most of the rendering.

My current system is a 7yr old one, and requires a complete overhaul.

Monitor is a SyncMaster 710T that i'll be keeping.

Casing is Powerlogic's which i will be reusing as well

Require:
Mid-Range Gfx
High-Ram count 6~8gb?
Mid-Range Quad core processor (intell bundle w/ mobo)
Cheap soundcard (that can do outplay accurately esp on the higher pitch)

Dont Require:
mouse and keyboard or router etc
Monitor
casing

Budget:
I'm looking around 2k; what should i get?

Actually prefer to not have wifi onboard mobo - have to pay for this feature and wifi standards are not constant so i think it more practical to use either USB or PCI wifi card
