Buying pc from Aftershock

how is their price and service and warranty?

i was told it takes 3-4 weeks to complete my order.I wonder how many pc they sold monthly?

They sell between 0-5 PC a month, operating from Mom's garage.

If you cannot wait that long then just move on. Their price is about 200-400 above diy prices but don't take my word for it, go download pricelist here and compare yourself.

After sales service i heard is good. My email queries to them were answered promptly both at presale stage (aftershock) and after sales stage (prism+).

Because tiagong they get their PRC supplier to build then ship. Building only takes 2 working days. But to maximise margin, use sampan shipping to SG. That's why up to 4 weeks.

Can choose to believe the tiagong or just call and ask.

desktop they should be using local parts leh. why does it take a whole month

yea my set took 2 weeks before it is ready, due to a queue or something. you can always see crowd at their booth during IT Show, you buy laptop or desktop, laptop usually got stock one. I got 1 laptop at SITEX on the first day, usually first day is your best bet.

Imagine u go Fuwell or PCT and they tell you come back 3 or 4 weeks later to collect your PC.

Tiagong Fuwell no queue also must wait 4-5hours if got queue maybe 3 months also ask you wait.

I think its reasonable to wait 4-5 hours for a full setup + software & drivers installation. But to wait for 1 month?

Depending on the config, and if most parts are from local distro, sometimes have to wait for a while due to high demand and OOS. If some parts are OOS at retailers, aftershock will suffer the same thing as well till distro brings in new stocks.

Assume to built and install software a PC from parts takes 3 hours OUTSIDE of burn in test and such. If there's 500 orders, it will be 1500 man hours. So doing math assuming 1 person work 10 hours a day, that will be 150 days to finish the order. Assuming they hire 10 person, it will be a 15 business day.

You want fast just go get those premade branded, or you can always go SLS. None of Aftershock parts were those that you can't get DIY.

There are time differences between picking up a sandwich from 7-11 or order from a restaurant that start by toasting your bread.

Haha, aftershock so high class ah? To be fair, check out aftershock competitors, if dreamcore, mansa, etc also needs 3-4weeks then acceptable.

But if they can do it within 1week and aftershock needs 4 weeks, then you decide it is because the chef is a perfectionist in his food or simply because the restaurant is full of orders.

actually it is around 1week + for most models. 3-4 weeks waiting time is for those components that are on shortage islandwide , meaning it will most likely be the same everywhere (LIKE 1070 non ti version and specific 8th gen cpus)

So you go Fuwell PCT today and buy PC they tell you wait 4 weeks acceptable for you?
