Agree. Though they look similar, somehow on first look, it seemed like those 5-10 years ago design, the silver one in particular.

The spec look good.
My s95 lens gear broke, if the repair costs are too high, might go for the s100.

The Canon S100 will be available only from late Nov or early Dec.

Probably with the Sitex 2011 show

IXUS is normal consumer-class - fully auto n mayb limited manual adjustment.
S & G series is prosumer-class - fully auto plus manual adjustment (eg. speed/f-stop/ISO).

seem that the stores are trying to clear off s95...it was about 669 last year dec..now its going for 549 - 599!! pretty good deal if one aint into the latest gimzo...
