Wah, no need buy for backup lah. Not like everyday battery will flat. Just buy jumper wire keep in boot as backup can le.

I think if in MSCP, can just wave at any passing cars for help. Believe 99% of the drivers will help you. Will only take like 2~3mins.

If ts ard near Sengkang area needs help, let me know. ;)

haha, my car happens to be parked at Level 6, which cars only go to after 9 pm ...

will consider getting battery replaced ... car has 19 months left on COE...

I have parked my car and left it unattended for close to a month while I was away on business trips and it still manage to start and I can drive off after that. Perhaps I am lucky. :s13:

Nonetheless, it would be good to learn about jump starting the car with the correct or relevant cables in circumstances like these.

And I am looking for a set of jump start cables as well.

i have a new set which waiting to help someone.:)

Disconnect battery before going off next time

got once i cant start, i approach a taxi driver for help. lucky he has jump start cables.. no use also, cant jump start.

ended up calling those freelance battery assistance.. changed the batt and problem solved.

sometimes not necessary jump start cables will help.

hm... thats something new.

Always thought jump starting engine is only "borrowing" the electric current from another car to start the engine. Once engine "starts", the alternator will then provide all the current required.

did you try "sparking" the wires? (i.e connect the jumper ,red & black, to the taxi then slightly touching the other end to close the circuit) Good way to check if the wires are connected correctly. Sometimes is weak/ improper connection causing the problem. ;)

did you let your battery charge for several minutes before re-attempting to start your car? jump starting is not always an instantaneous activity.
