Hi all,

I'm looking to purchase a car seat for my 1.5yo toddler. There are so many choices out there and there are not many singapore reviews for them.

Priorities -
Isofix preferred.
Use till at least 5yo.
Able to switch from back to front facing.
Able to recline
Optional: swivel to face door for easy dismount.

Budget is approximately $500+-

I've looked at a few brands. MaxiCosi seems fairly bulky, Daiichi from mothercare feels flimsy, Combi looks good but unsure of it's reliabily. Cybex and Chicco no opinions. Appreciate some recommendations. :)

The manufacturer usually indicate up to 4yo/ 18kg. 4yo/ 18kg onward will be the booster seat.

Of course, you can let your child use up to 5yo. I switched my girl to a booster seat when she is four and a half.

Maxi Cosi Titan can use until 12 years old i think.

I am using Maxi Cosi Milofix for my kid. Will change to a booster when he outgrows his current seat.

Milofix is good. The child can be backward facing when they are very young. I have moved on to britax highpoint now. You can consider it next time.

Actually kid must sit the chair until how old?

In general, around 4~6 age can switch to booster seat (much less bulky). Once over 1.35m, just buckle up.

I'm using maxi cosi titan pro. solid build and cooling comfortable cushion. 1.5yo can forward facing liao

Using Graco 4ever. Bought from Prime Now for <$300 about a year ago when it just started. Less than half the Sg retail price. It’s good for new born till booster stage.
