You just need to setup your cardup to pay 1 week earlier then the giro will never trigger.
thanks for this, i didnt know if there's a separate earlier payment going to iras, the giro wont trigger

i went to cancel my giro payment in iras portal, then iras say mus pay 1 shot, so i ended up configuring 1 off payments

Go to IRAS website and request for early assessment. You can get NOA early and pay early.

for mortgage, cardup will just credit the amount to your own account and then you pay your bank as per current.
so you can just charge $2K to maybank plat via cardup for mortgage and cardup will credit $2K to your designated account.

New to this cardup and ipaymy, want to pay the road tax using my mastercard credit card but seems like the promo codes mostly cater to VISA cards, also dont seem to have any new user codes for cardup...

For Cardup Income Tax payments, can I set a value lower than my monthly due amount so as to continue triggering GIRO deductions monthly, or must it be the exact amount as shown on my NOA? e.g. Monthly installment of $1,005, can I set the Cardup payment to $1,000 so there is a $5 GIRO deduction?

Thanks in advance!

It doesn't matter, IRAS will just offset starting from the closest month. The GIRO deductions will continue as long as there is still a balance.

I would like to confirm the mechanics of how card up works for mortgage... since my mortgage is a floating rate, the monthly installment changes from month to month.

If say monthly average == 5k, is it correct i set up recurring for 5k, and cardup wiill transfer 5k to my designated bank account used for mortgage payment); and deduction will take place as normal?

ie the cardup DO NOT pay the mortgage directly?
