i think what the poster meant is that the underlying medical conditions are referring to specific medical conditions and his example of "cholestrol, hbp" were not asked hence his uncertainty.Definitely else why the question being ask

Yeswhen applying careshield life supplment with GE, it seems they don't ask a lot of questions regarding underlying medical conditions where u need to fill in many forms. instead a few key questions like the following
Do you suffer from, or have you been treated for, or advised by any medical practitioner to seek medical attention for the following conditions:
would it be a problem one day if you need to claim because u didn't have to make declaration of your chronic problem like cholestrol, hbp ?
- Cancer, diabetes, heart diseases, spinal conditions
- Stroke, depression, nervous breakdown, paralysis
- Kidney diseases, liver diseases, lung diseases, arthritis
- Dementia, alzheimer's disease, parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis and motor neurone disease
I believe I can live till 500. Can pay monthly till then? Hope will have cheaper monthly paymentsI am actually thinking of paying till 100. Because the monthly premiums will be lower thus it is more worth if i claim earlier (say 50 or 60). I am 35 now.
Am i missing out on any disadvantages?
so in the above example, though no mention of cholesterol and hbp in the underlying medical conditions questions but one should tell the agent "no to all the above but i have cholesterol & hbp"?
what do you mean by "how to pay till 100?" just pay?I believe I can live till 500. Can pay monthly till then? Hope will have cheaper monthly payments
Jokes aside. How to pay till 100?
There are 2 options, pay till 65 or till 100. With the same premium, of course pay till 100 will give u higher coverageI believe I can live till 500. Can pay monthly till then? Hope will have cheaper monthly payments

Be truthfulso in the above example, though no mention of cholesterol and hbp in the underlying medical conditions questions but one should tell the agent "no to all the above but i have cholesterol & hbp"?
It's not a matter of being truthful, if the underwriting questions are as shown in the post there is no mention about cholesterol and hbp so how does truthfulness come into play?Be truthful

My GE agent even request for my chlolesterol and blood test and high blood pressure result when I enquire abt the careshield supplement plan. Though I'm already their eldershield supplement customer since 2014.i think what the poster meant is that the underlying medical conditions are referring to specific medical conditions and his example of "cholestrol, hbp" were not asked hence his uncertainty.
In your case since the agent had requested for those specific results I wholeheartedly agree to be truthful and provide full disclosure. However if the underwriting questions did not ask for cholesterol and hbp specifically wonder are there cons and disadvantages to disclosing more than asked for?My GE agent even request for my chlolesterol and blood test and high blood pressure result when I enquire abt the careshield supplement plan. separate limit.Noob question: If I'm already paying for enhanced medishield (Prushield) using medisave (ard S$600/year), means I can't use medisave to buy enhanced Careshield Life? Thanks!
U can. Limit for each planNoob question: If I'm already paying for enhanced medishield (Prushield) using medisave (ard S$600/year), means I can't use medisave to buy enhanced Careshield Life? Thanks!
Perhaps.
Concerned about
1. Is it worth it getting the supplement since we are able to use up to $600 from medisave. (as much as possible, even in future if premium rises I would not want to top up cash).
2. Choosing premium period up to age of 67 or beyond that
Currently shortlisted Aviva since it offers escalating out of the 3 but the claim eligibility would be 3 out of 6 ADLs instead of 2 like the competitors.
