Anyone wires their ceiling fan and the light that comes with it to separate gangs on the switch?

I got the aero air fan, asked the seller whether it is possible, he said manufacturer say can. I googled online, it is possible.

But want to ask if anyone did it? How does it work?

i've recently had my 2 units of JB-bought elmark 56" fans spoilt due to capacitor and remote control receiver. costs me a fair bit to change them.

anyone have any recommendations which fans have separate receiver and remote? that means i do not need to change the whole set when the remote control died... i know Alpha Fans (msia brand) is such as i've had the remote died during the ** Period and i got the remote control sent over from KL at 70RM....

thanks in advance.

I bought 5 elmark fans via phylux and 3 fans gone rusty after 3yrs+. Outer layer of the ceiling mount gone rusty and peeling off exposing the metal parts...CALLED BOTH AND THEY SAID IS USUAL WEAR AND TEAR! I PAID $399 EACH FOR BAD QUALITY FANS. SO UPSETTING.

Anyone using or used Crestar Ninja Air and Value Air before? How was it?
I have two Crestar. Using for about 3 years. Recently one is super slow, and Speed 1 is like totally useless, just relying on Speed 2 and 3 now. I wouldn't recommend, if they break down, I am going to try another brand.

If anyone wants to buy fans, please, always check the price of the remote and the assembly (if applicable). Or just get a smart fan like me from po eco can use wifi app to control, or google home. :s13:

Just my little homework for my new bto for https://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/...s-188/anything-related-your-home-5897077.html

comapring DC vs AC electricity cost

cheapest from KDK DC $368

39watt X10hr (usage) = 390watt
390/1000 = 0.39kWh per day
0.39 X 31days = 12.09 kWh per month
12.09 kWh per month X 19.60cents kWh = $2.36964 per month
$2.36964 X 12month = $28.43568

cheapest from KDK AC $249

54watt X10hr (usage) = 540watt
540/1000 = 0.54kWh per day
0.54 X 31days = 16.74 kWh per month
16.74 kWh per month X 19.60cents kWh = $3.28104 per month
$3.28104 X 12month = $39.372

ac model vs dc model is about $110 different and it electricity cost is $10.93632 per year

which mean i need around 10year to cover back the cost of $110

Tariff Rates: 19.60 cents/kWh

IMO, get the fan that suits your decor, is quiet and only consider the energy savings after taking these and the cost into account...
But having said that, my first Haiku is almost ten years old, and gets a lot of usage, and it looks nice.

Wanna check if anyone knows why my ceiling fan wun turn back on if i turn off from switch rather than power off at remote control then turn off switch?

Once in a while, i will accidentally turn off via switch then cant turn back on le. Need to reset it by turning off switch then turn off/on MCCB, then turn on fan switch and use remote to turn on.

Previously using Fanco AC, 5 arm, 46" ceiling fan.

Recently changed to Daiko DC, 3 arm, 46" ceiling fan -

felt that wind not as strong as Fanco is it because of 3 vs 5 arm or DC fan normally not that powerful?
