lol! That is why cannot do smart home
that was one of the considerations before I purchased that KDK Airy. Because also I had a few smart devices on smartlife app.

But I like the super dim moonlight on KDK, just like my Xiaomi ceiling light where the lights is super dim. I don't see any other brands offering that kind.

Actually in room, best not to have fan with light because it will have the strobing effect. My wife’s architect friend who did our reno said no to ceiling light with fan. To her, this kind of lighting layout is not acceptable. But understand some prefer that

Just got my pointone fans installed. fan speed quite strong but rather noisy. I use speed 3 is quite strong already and the noise level is just acceptable to me (for the price level)
But there is a slight gap between the ceiling and the hugger. Told the installer to close up the gap as per Alex Teo youtube on smart fans but the installer tell me its like that one, need gap to allow some air if not the driver will spoil easily. I check google reviews also have slight gaps on ceiling which to me is not nice aesthetically.
I certainly miss my Haiku fan. Very smooth and quiet even at high speeds.
Why don’t buy Haiku?

can la

the good thing about KDK airy is the remote is using IR (not RF)

so just need to install a smart control with IR emitter ( less than $20)
Pure IR blaster is cheap, I’ve been using Tuya one for a few years, $6 from Shopee. Reliable and consistent.

i got 4 fans in my new place which is around 2k
1 haiku is also about 2k.
anyway answer is bo lui
lol! That is why lo? If got money then all hoot haiku. Mine is 8 fans so can totally forget about Haiku

Also, Alex is too picky la. Aircon also got gap right? Want 0 gap I think don’t really make a lot of sense. But again up to individual.

Actually IR+RF controller isn't that expensive, can be found under $10 from TB. Also good thing about RF is you just need single unit instead of 1 unit per room for IR. Its just as reliable, if not probably even more reliable than IR except when manufacturer that included security RF, rolling code etc.

I bought 4 Aeratron fans and have been using them for 1 month...so far so good. Just that its not a big wind fan. Its top speed is still like a 3 in other fans.

What I can say is the 2 blade is very chio. My wife’s architect friend who is doing my place said don’t buy because

(1) the speed is slow as it doesn’t have the flexibility to go for higher speed. However ok if you keep pumping aircon
(2) she said this doesn’t seems very popular in SG. Phylux said mostly used for commercial but not as popular and good as haiku
(3) Price also not cheap. I think around $700-800.

Some companies said the composite blade is useless. But when I went to the showroom, I saw this composite blade (some aluminum and plastics co molding) is crazily tough. If you use that 1.5mm blade and whack someone’s head, the person confirm go hospital. If you use those plastic blades like PO, I think likely blade break. Even when I clean the PO blades, I have to be very careful because it kind of flex quite a bit

Efenz quite nice also but I won’t pay that price, around $700 to $800. Can just buy others
Don't have much others at the same price range. Shop told me Efenz much better compared to alaska. Yet Point one has the driver issues on Google review after 1 - 2 years.

Probably can ask other shops. If you go Yafen, they will all recommend Alaska and Prestige. Haha! I think Efenz also not like very good. Somemore at their price for Singapore fan? No la.

Ah OK. Yes Yafen has lots of alaska. I'm siding towards Efenz but yes it's very pricey
