As mentioned earlier for some case it is good deals. I never say all cases. For some it is not cheaper for bundled plan. It depends on the promotion price and what are the channels the user watch. For me it is cheaper. My family and I watch English entertainment pass and movies pass and Netflix so it is good deal.

Oh, and a good local offering that is worth considering: Singtel CAST. Their bundles, at 5.90 each pack, are worthwhile considerations to supplement the other internet TV providers.

One other reason why my family moved from Starhub - not all channels are FHD, and the visual difference from Starhub to Singtel is quite stark when you realise that many channels are still 720p. Also my dad's old favourite channels are on Singtel, which forced our move.

Starhub and Singtel are all 1080i.
Actually Singtel is just brighter and sharper.
Just need to adjust your TV.

singtel stb can set to 1080i, but not all channels are 1080. some are 720, others 480

Same for Starhub.

One of the reasons why Starhub chooses to go to the Android TV OS based new Starhub TV+ box is probably to support 4K as the existing Set Top box only supports 1080i, same as Singtel STB.

For Starhub it is all 1080i now. Yes may be in future 4k with android box.

Just need to get a network contractor to do a long cable from the ONT to the new router location (high location at the centre of the home). Simple task.

You can consider cheap routers like Linksys EA7500 V2 or EA8100 from Carousell to function as AP, below S$50, 4*4 AC2600 grade.

ONT -- Existing AC1900 router in room -- LAN cable -- EA7500 V2 or EA8100 as AP in the centre location

BTW, is your AC1900 router the SingTel AC1900 router and you are using SingTel? FYI, both EA7500 V2 and EA8100 support SingTel VLAN.

I would suggest to skip Linksys due to their poor firmware support.

Low cost EA7500 V2 and EA8100 (both rated at AC2600) should be okay as an AP.

But if one does not want to use Linksys, Asus RT-AC2600 dumped by M1 users is also good from Carousell, price will be higher.

Asus RT-AC1200G+ has lower performance than Linksys EA7500 V2 and EA8100, but it can be considered as well as an AP.

can also consider huawei ax3 (non-pro version) :D .. only about $40-50. sure fastest speed for this price point but signal strength may not be as strong.
