Anyone knows how to change Prudential insurance agent?
I have a few policies under a Prudential agent who was recommended to me by a relative. I stuck with that agent for many years (was young then, didn't know better), and also I didn't have any claims last time so no issues. But recently I had a few hospitalization claims, and when I asked my agent some questions, he just told me to email customer service. I also had questions about my policies, and he told me to email their HQ.
I'm thinking about requesting for a change in agent. I recently reconnected with an old friend who is now a Prudential agent, and I think she'll be a good person to take over my policies. But I've a few questions:
1) Will the new agent earn the commission from my policies (renewable every year)?
2) Will my old agent be penalised if I request to change agent?
Anyone knowledgeable or has experience on this?
