IIRC, merimobiles shipping back is China/HK like Pandawill. At this price I'm tempted also, but Pandawill is having clearance sales (up to 50%) starting on 17th. So wait and see 1st=:p

edit: Just a reminder, those who buy from online 3rd party, best to record your unboxing. It'll help proof the item is faulty at point of recieve. It'll also help the sellers offer you an exchange faster.

Normally a reputable online shop will refund/credit you back the shipping cost back to them if your item is faulty upon delievery.

After adding in shipping cost, price is more ex than what merimobiles has on offer now. But ending soon.
thks..Just order...(upgrd to DHL)
Too tempting :p

As i had a 7" cover, will use.
I guess my war with 7" might end with this...:p

Hope it is well.

I was comparing it with EMS, that's why I indicate EMS/DHL in my comment:)

Oh ok... i click look see and option for shipping has some costing. Maybe I miss something.
Anyway, buy from Merimobiles has added benefit like 1 year wrty. :)

Actually most of these International China product website will offer 1 year warranty. The lesser known ones will normally be US$10-20 cheaper than known ones (merimobiles, pandawill).

But ya, better to get from meri as they have lesser chance of being closed.:D

Edit:

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Novo 7 Advanced A10 is actually Cortex A8 core. The A10 processor should be from Quanzhi Science & Tech Ltd. Co. (Aka Allwinner)

The size & weight is 188 x 111 x 10mm, 350 grams. This is missing from meri specs.

It is said that the Novo 7 basic & advanced versions have same hardwares except for process. If that's true, you might be interested to see the dissembled photos of the basic version.

Hi ,

Anyone bought from Portable mall singapore, they are also selling Novo 7 or 8.

Thinking of buying from them as their delivery claims to be faster.

Thanks

The items are shipped from HK. S$189.99 + 22.07 (fedex) = S$212.06

Merimobiles is US$139.99 + 25 = US$164.99 (abt S$215)

Merimobiles at least more ppl have buy from before. Fedex from my experience sometime 1 or 2 days faster than DHL, else about same.

u tried quadrant standard test?

It's 1357 running at 1GHz (with 1.5.1 update)

New update unknown yet as the tablet supposed to run at 1.5GHz.

However the test result may not reflect the actual operation, as it is with many other China tablet.

Edit: Here's the battery life testing review (by a user)
http://tabletrepublic.com/forum/android-tablet-reviews/ainol-novo-7-advanced-[battery-test]-108.html

Looks very nice, but I wonder how much difference it'll make running at 1.5GHz

the one you post is not using "quadrant standard Edition" la, it is "Global Quadrant rank" which only 426 pple rated it.

"quadrant standard Edition" got over 20,000 pple rate it.

please visit here for info https://market.android.com/search?q=quadrant&so=1&c=apps

if running on 1.5ghz thats mean it is using china chip, think is boxchip A10. A10 here is not cortex A10, just a series given to the processor.

In arm website, they do not have A10, the most recent one is A9 and A15, visit here for more info http://www.arm.com/products/processors/cortex-a/index.php

The test was not by me. And did you read what I wrote previously?

I quote
"Correct me if I'm wrong, but Novo 7 Advanced A10 is actually Cortex A8 core. The A10 processor should be from Quanzhi Science & Tech Ltd. Co. (Aka Allwinner)"

Allwinner A10 is on par with RK2918 in terms of multi media performance. And as I said these test normally doesn't reflect actual operating on China Tablet.

As far as what I'd seen in the video reviews, Novo 7 is a good tablet and will likely to have a good user community. At least from the looks of it, a few bros here are already part of that community:s13:

Edit:
I remember reading this in one of the reviews/forums, I kinda agree.

Reasons why you need 2160P;

1. To make sure the tablet can play 720P without lag even after 2hrs of usuage.
2. To make sure it can play 1080P on TV via HDMI.

I already have an A500 before I started looking at China tablet. I didn't get much asking around, so did lots of read ups. Still trying to find a sweetspot between RK2918, TC8813, EV2, A8, A9 and now A10.

It was supposed to be for my outstation trip, but end up over liao. I ended up getting a Xperia Play to keep me company:s13: Really worth getting, somehow I like the performance better than my Atrix. Score wise Atrix beats Play hands down, but I like the overall performance of Play better. That's why I say score aren't everything:s8:

Now looking at tablets again as I really need a 7". The only thing I can fault with A10 is no GPS, but at the price it's really worth getting. So maybe I'll join the Novo 7 family later. If pandawill clearance sales really selling some hot tablets at 50% off (like dropad/herotab/meiling). maybe I'll join that family too:s13:
