Cheapest Android Tablet option

I already have an A500 before I started looking at China tablet. I didn't get much asking around, so did lots of read ups. Still trying to find a sweetspot between RK2918, TC8813, EV2, A8, A9 and now A10.

It was supposed to be for my outstation trip, but end up over liao. I ended up getting a Xperia Play to keep me company Really worth getting, somehow I like the performance better than my Atrix. Score wise Atrix beats Play hands down, but I like the overall performance of Play better. That's why I say score aren't everything

Now looking at tablets again as I really need a 7". The only thing I can fault with A10 is no GPS, but at the price it's really worth getting. So maybe I'll join the Novo 7 family later. If pandawill clearance sales really selling some hot tablets at 50% off (like dropad/herotab/meiling). maybe I'll join that family too

when you get one share with us the test result..

just ordered mine today, think will only arrive in 2 to 3 weeks time as i opted for free shipping. I will test it when it reach me

IMHO, don't be so dependant on test result. Better to make a good tablet that meets customer expectations. Like run HD movie smooth,good battery life, no lags, etc Also 1 year warranty at least

I just ran a Global Quadrant test, gotten 916 better than Galaxy S. But I assured you this device runs nowhere as well as Galaxy S. It takes longer to load angry bird, it lags much more, it opens apps slower, etc.

BUT it has better score than Galaxy S. It's my old milestone1 running on Miui rom being OC at 1GHz

Thanks. Don't think we need. It'll be a hot thing for a few weeks, then everyone just interested in newer ones. Like dropad/herotab then novo8

They already extended once I think, may happen again. Or they might just reduce and fixed it at this price. The released price was US$149.99, so it's a US$10 gamble if you choose not to get it now

Also maybe there'll be 3G models in future since it's based on A8 core. Things can happen quite fast like it did for Rena3. 4 different generations in matter of months

If I have a Herotab C8, how does this fare in comparison? Just curious as I'm looking for a replacement. At the moment, it appears that 10.1" tablets will be a good upgrade.

I just saw the video review of Novo 7 Advanced and it is pretty informative.

Ainol NOVO 7 Advanced Android 2.3.4 8GB 1.5GHz CPU Dual Camera+ Free Remote Control

Specs wise, other than the 7" display, it is really amazing. The tablet booted up in around 35 seconds. Wow. The remote control hardware is pretty useful when you connect your tab to your TV for showing movies.

The current downside is the lack of Android Market but likely to be changed with a firmware update.

Hopefully there is a good community behind this tab!

I think you better upgrade to 10.1". I'm the opposite, I have acer A500, that's why I wanted a 7" for travel.

IMHO, Herotab C8 is A8, and allwinner A10 is actually improved copy of A8. But now still dun have GPS and 3G options. Currently 4 known brands have tablets on allwinner A10. Novo 7 advanced, Teclast P76 (resistive 2points), ONDA VX610W deluxe (standard is resistive), Wopad A10.

Wopad A10 not released yet, but it's said the hardware same as wopad i7 (RK2918) except for the processor.

All resolution are 800*480 7". ONDA & Teclast are 13mm thick, wopad and novo 7 are 10mm thick.

Battery life wise should be better than Herotab C8 as A10 have better power control. A10 multimedia performance should be better also. 1.5GHz not sure how true as all 1st version default firmware of all 4 tablets are expect to run at 1GHz.

Allwinner A10 tablets are cheaper than most other tablets, so I think there'll be a good community in near future.

These are just my opinions and understanding. Hope it'll be of use to you

i guess the batt life & its price drawn many.
Hope it delivers well....(will compare it to my creative Ziio...)

Ya I got it for 139.99 USD (Merimobiles) total mine came closed to S$215 is I upgrade the delievery to DHL

The other smaller China MID sites are selling it at US$129 without shipping, but if by EMS, then could be cheaper.

I actually wanted a RK2918 tablet, but cannot justified the cost with levono a1 and kindle fire selling at US$199 Well it ended for the better I guess with Novo 7 advanced.
