Not too sure if i should upgrade to ICS and wait for the root.. or just root it based on the current 2.3.1.

gingerbreak will work for 2.3.1 ICS rooting for RK2918 I haven't read up. Not sure if there's any market in RK2918 ICS firmware, but if can root, can add in

edit: When I get my momo11 I should be able to do more cos same factory as Teclast A10.

oh thanks for reply. any version of gingerbreak will do right? I am downloading GingerBreak-v1.20.apk from xda-developers. Hope it works!

one of the reasons i need to root is to be able to use adhoc wifi tethered from my 3GS. Without rooting, it can only use infrastructure wifi. ;( My huawei e1762 is not part of the compatiable list of 3G modem.. hais..

SuperOneClick works for RK2918. I successfully rooted my U9GT 2 with it.

Nice. Does ICS firmware came rooted or u have to root it?

BTW, for Novo7A to improve the scrolling I added this line in build.prop.
windowsmgr.max_events_per_sec=150

The difference is noticeable on Novo7A

Not rooted by default but the firmware I flashed was a customised one so it came pre rooted.

Sigh~ sgshop ordered the momo11 for me on the 29th, and I paid for EMS. The status till now is only purcahsed, pm them yesterday. Today they replied said it's paid by EMS but it's not the fastest and that all China express are packed.

Most likely will try 65daigou next time round. IIRC, a bro did recommend their service.

Anyone can advise where to download teclast driver? I can download the firmware from the site, but cannot find the driver.. Need it in order to adb shell..

The cd that's supposed to come together with the device is not found.. Only saw an empty cd sleeve.. Sigh..

If it works then u are lucky, cos it took me 1 night to find a driver for F0C^^;

That should be the driver I'd posted. Cos my F0C is detected as RK29 device not as F0C. Anyway u try liao and see can or not. If u scare then try email the seller or teclast bah.

that was exactly what i had already.
When i off it, and insert the USB, it prompt for install, and I pointed to this file. and device driver successfully installed..

But when I turn it on, and plug the USB because i need ADB shell, it just couldnt recognize the device, and when i point to this file again, it does not recognize this as the driver..

I am stuck with ADB shell with the error :no device found.

Edit: solved by using google usb driver, and install it manually via device manager.
