I have a stupid question : the teclast p76ti on taobao.com (499) does not come with a charger, so if I do not purchase the charger can use phone charger?

Cuz the tablet and phone cable the same...

U cannot just look at the cable. What u need to compare is the voltage and the current. If it's usb connector, the voltage shd be the same. But yr phone charger may not supply a high enough current to charge the tablet efficiently or fast enough. For eg, the iPad charger supplies 2.1A whereas the iPhone charger only supplies 1A - both are at similar voltage. It may work but may just take much longer to charge

Went sgshop earlier to collect the momo11, and the polyer official retailer did use a parcel box that can hold 2 boxes of momo11:s27: That's why my volume weight is 2590:s27:

Anyway, had a chat with the guy at sgshop, he was asking me why so many people are ordering Novo7 tablets. I believe there's both MIPS ones and Novo7A. I only told him briefly about Novo7A. Also tell him about some tricks SLS sellers may pull and he said it's the same as those in China. He also agreed it's better to buy from official retailers.

I asked him about if stuffs are cheaper on Taobao than retail shop he said yes. Retail shops will follow RRP and online either give better prices or more freebies. For those who don't get what I'm saying, example Ten2+ official retail price is 1299 RMB and those in shop will be selling at that price, while online price is 998 RMB.

He also told me more on their process.

1. After we made online order, they will call/QQ (China MSN) the seller and make sure the seller have ready stock.
2. Normally those sellers near Guangzhou (like Shenzhen), if you choose express mail, within 2 days the item should reach their warehouse.
3. If on 3rd working day the item does not reach, they'll call the seller. They'll do this again on 5th day.
4. When the item(s) reach their warehouse, they'll open and check the items are correct and no physical defects. For tablet & electronics, they make sure it can power on whenever possible.
5. If the original packaging is not good, they rewrap the item(s) before they send to Singapore.

He also suggested sea shipping to save cost and said it's longer but generally OK. But I don't think I'll take that option lol

My orders are delayed mainly due to the holiday postage being too packed. He said I could do a search on this and will find photos of China post warehouse packed with hills of parcels till even placed outside=:p This actually started around 14-15 of Nov 2011.

China postal services may return to normal around 2nd week of Feb. So those thinking of Vi40E can take this to consideration.

Will I use sgshop again? I'll see how it goes, maybe will give them a 2nd chance in near future. Hope the experience will be better.

Momo11 I'll do a full review after I have time to update the firmware and play with it. Which is this weekend.. ICT really takes up too much mental energy lol

But the weight is NOT 550g as on their website. It's 627g and about 12mm. Shake it a few times, no loose part sounds. Build feels not as good as Novo7A, but acceptable. The screen protector was pasted nicely, no air bubble:D

Wifi I think it's better than Novo7A, not 100% sure till I do a test. Battery like not good, but need charge liao then know. The UI feels sticky, hope after I update the firmware and tweak the build.prop it'll get better.

I don't like the screen warm cast, it should be the same LG IPS like Teclast A10. Will I recommend getting it? Initial impression will be NO, unless u want a 999 RMB IPS RK2918... I have higher hopes for Vi40E;)

Have fun with your new momo11! Which tablet is better in terms of value, teclast p76ti or window N12 deluxe? Both of them are 499RMB, but window N12 is rk2918 but battery capacity higher...:s11:

P76Ti has better standby, but IIRC, based on tabletrepublic review (by someone from Singapore I think) the better capacity seems to be lesser than what's stated. However, the same person who reviewed it had made custom rom for P76Ti, meaning there's already some online support.

The latest N12 deluxe (NOT N12, N12R or N12C), internal looks decent. But RK2918, means it'll have bad standby. The screen from reviews doesn't look as good also.

Both are about the same in terms of value to me. Given a choice now, I would rather wait till after CNY. 1GB RAM is sort of a must for me now^^;

I REALLY HATE Momo11 firmware update tool. ONLY can use on Window XP.

Also 1st time I ever see bright pixels on any of my electronics device lol There are 2 of them.

Screen protector is provided one. Not sure how good is it... should be the poor quality type bah.

edit: found 2 more problem pixel^^;

RAM issue was fixed in the first firmware release. I'd updated to the 28th Dec one.

The tablet on a whole is fairly decent, wifi is stable and better than Novo7A, the handling/build feel is above average which I believe is quite similar to C91 and M12. Battery seems to perform better than what I would expect, but need to really test then know.

Overall my dislikes is mainly on the screen (warm cast & pixels which I'd expected) and momo11 firmware UI is slower or lack smoothness compared with Teclast A10. I'd already tried using T. A10 firmwares including ICS on Momo11. Only the camera and some buttons don't work, T A10 firmware also loads up slower, but overall smoother.

Vi40 Elite based on my brief reading seems to have good Wifi and nice screen (it looks high contrast and bright from videos).

The standby battery doesn't seems as good as other smaller Allwinner A10 tablet, it should improve with firmware updates. The build is also commented not being very good, but acceptable for 999 RMB.

Some vids I'd uploaded from some sites for sharing :)

Onda VI40 Elite testing - YouTube

Onda Vi40 Elite video review part1 - YouTube
Onda Vi40 Elite video review part2 - YouTube
Onda Vi40 Elite video review part3 - YouTube
Onda Vi40 Elite video review part4 - YouTube

Most likely will order one if nothing else caught my eyes after the CNY holidays:D

Edit: Looking at the disassembly video of Vi40E now. Looks better than Teclast A10, but still somewhat messy lol

Anyway will try to download and transfer to youtube bah. BTW I'd unlisted all my videos, so don't bother searching them on youtube. Getting some weird attentions lol

What do you guys think of the Ramos W6HD? Screen wise not bad although it's not IPS.. CPU wise it should be better than the upcoming Ainols since they are still stuck on the Allwinner A10...

Based on what they claim in the video, Vi40E panel is LG hard panel (should be glass). I do believe it's 400 lumens as advertised because I saw a compare shots with Ten2plus.

Everything seems to be taped down nicely and someone commented that there's no or little heat felt after 3 hours of wifi surfing.

REALLY tempted liao:s13:

edit: oh ya I recall reading the battery life aren't good. With wifi and an USB device attached, you can expect 1% per min battery usage.

Amlogic M3 has yet proven to be better than Allwinner A10. 512MB seems yester-year.:s13: Some argue it's sufficient, I do agree if you want to remain at 2.3.x

But W6HD is made for ICS, or rather Amlogic M3 is made so the company has an entry level chipset to run ICS =:p

If you REALLY want, wait for 1GB version bah...
