My ployer momo11 came at a wrong time where I need to go back to the Army to serve my annual National duty to the Republic of Singapore... So weekend finally came where I finally have some time to play with it on top of the Chinese New Year prep I have to do.

Initial impressions:
I ordered mine from Ployer flagship store on online paipai site. They did a very decent packing, which resulted to having to pay 2590g of shipping due to the parcel box they used. Not really happy with the excess shipping fees I had to pay, but the tablet reached safely.
The build feels decent, I shaked the tablet around and didn't hear any loose cable or parts, but Novo7A feels better. However, I do not get a cheapo build or toy feel out of Momo11. The weight and handling is pretty ok, I would had prefered a physical back key since they are running on 2.3.1 and not ICS.
For the appearance shots just refer to the link below as it's the same things as what I'd gotten:

Screen:
My screen had 2 bright pixels and 2 bad pixels, it's something that I'd expected when I ordered a Ployer tablet. There's a little creeking sound when I grip one of the sides, which means the shell and screen panel fit is not very well design. Not really an issue, as it doesn't happen often.
The screen protector that came on Momo11 had been well applied. No air bubbles reported in other reviews, maybe because I'd gotten from the flagship store.
The screen color has a warm cast, this is will help bring the contrast but it'll make whites looks yellowish. I would had prefered it on neutral cast than cool or warm cast. To my knowledge you can't adjust this on Android. The screen does looks good when u crank up the brightness to 75-100%, which will drain battery REALLY fast. I normally set it below 25% which is sufficient for normal usage.
View angle is very good on IPS screen. I have compare shots of Acer Iconia A500 (Auto brightness which I believe around 50%) with Momo11 (100% brightness). A500 is a much brighter & better screen but as view angles goes Momo11 is the winner.
A500 auto-brightness (left) Momo11 100% brightness (right)
A500 100% brightness (left) Momo11 100% brightness (right)
Wifi:
I don't think it's fair to compare China tablet with International brand tablets, so I used the Ainol Novo7 Advanced and Uzone F0C for comparisons. I would say Momo11 has a more stable wifi connection than the F0C, the signal strenght is more consistant. Novo7A is more like a yoyo lol
UI & Firmware:
Momo11 is using the RK2918 SDK launcher, which Ployer did a bad integration. The UI feels a little laggy even after I killed all the tasks. As this is my 1st 1024 resolution RK2918, I had expected it to be slightly lagged compared to 800 resolution.
I'm not convinced that why I'm experience is the real RK2918 on 1024 resolution. So what I did is flash Momo11 with Teclast A10 firmware. BTW I hate the firmware tool that Ployer use, it took me one night to figure out that the tool ONLY works well on XP. I'm lucky I have varies devices running on different Windows, else I would go crazy.
After Momo11 is on Teclast firmware, the UI is much smoother. Something that is within my expectation of RK2918 running 1024 resolution. Momo11 firmware boot up is much faster, like 30secs and Teclast A10 firmware feels like double the time needed. Camera won't work & hard buttons didn't correctly. I believe these can be fixed, but not going to waste time.
So I flashed back to Momo11 latest firmware and try using launcher pro and adw ex launcher. They worked like a charm. Everything is smoother. I advise Momo11 owner to use other launcher if you don't intent to DIY port Teclast A10 firmware to Momo11.
Also to make the whole experience without back button better, install Button Savior on Momo11. You will need to root Momo11 which Gingerbreak and most rooting apps should be able root Momo11 fairly quickly.
To be continue...
