Hey guys any review of the cube U18GT?
Saw it at aliexpress selling for around 80USD.

If you want to try a China tablet but are risk adverse to shipping and not having support, go to SLS and buy from the shops there... at least they don't just disappear overnight... no guarantees but I always feel you have a physical shop and staff to go after... surely beats the nameless, faceless online agents and websites you buy from... but online purchase can be much cheaper... so you balance the risk and the price... also at the shop you can handle and test the device until you're satisfied... online purchase means you have to return... so again balance the time taken to test it at the shop versus having to return it if it's a lemon as well as waiting for it to ship to you...

Anyone wish to buy china made tablet at SLS shops need to do some home work before you go, those shops there do not list out the specification of tablet, they can even sell you a tablet which is 512M ram, 2 G capacity with a antique CPU at a S$ 250, when you ask them the CPU ram etc... They will show you a black face and go away.

Be carefully, do you home work first especially the speed of CPU, single or duo core, 512 M or 1G ram etc...

I would rather go online which show you full spec.

Never really see what the brand is but in the end she tried to promote ViewSonic to that Ang Moh and starting she told him that it's a US brand. Very good quality. Then the Ang Moh i think don't believe her then she told him that it's a Singapore brand. But the fact is that ViewSonic is a china brand. I'll always buy stuff online(cheaper).

They're selling Aurora 2 for $209 but you can get it from taobao(599)+shipping(~$20) and total up only $140. That's a $69 savings and only have to wait about 1 week.

Even if you don't want the hassle of shipping, there are many posts from a bro where where he says that the tablets from SLS are usually repaired sets and they try to sell it off as new sets.

Totally agree with you. Only buy from sls if you know your specs really well. Else a dispute occurs and both parties lose out and nobody is happy.

Whatever you see online and what you receive finally may or may not be the same also lar... so the same risks apply... and you can't check it until it arrives... although I guess most people seem satisfied...

Usually more EX than online. Should be around same price as SLS. Maybe 1 or 2 more useless freebies.

As for taobao seller, i usually choose the one with the most units sold. And for agent, ive only used Hirakawa's service before and im pretty satisfied with it. Took 3 days from china to sg. Might not be the cheapest but one of thr fastest. Cost me 30 to ship 1.48kg. Everything arrived intact.

Prices have dropped at the low end to around S$80 from about S$120 beginning of the year. Wait a little while until the new iPad is announced. The iPad prices will have massive impact on pricing of China tablets.

Perhaps you should be able to get a dual core at the same price point soon.
