about 2 weeks to get the 3G module in, installation is super fast, should be less than 2 hours..

but i strongly do not recommend that for below reasons:
1. you need to pay extra $$$ for the monthly fee and extra sim card
2. the data plan on your mobile phone will be wasted if you only use on DreamPad

If you really need one, can consider getting portable wifi router with battery,.

or make your mobile phone into wireless wifi router

Are there any screen protectors and covers for dreampad 2?

screen protector at the moment need to customise. think was $18 or something at some sim lim sq square...

cover will be leather case keyboard, optional accessories.

Another optional accessory is the capacitive stylus for those who still prefer a stylus.

do you think the dream pad is suitable for my usage?

bascially I just wan to do the follow
- play games
- edit some documents, spreadsheet and presentation
- serve net, must be able to log-in to those internet banking and POEMS website
- watch download movies

as for 3G i'm not sure if I need, cos my phone can do teethering, but then it will drain my phone battery life. so imagine if I surf net in the train using the tablet by the time i reach home/office all my mobile devices batt will be drain so have to charge both phone and tablet.

The rest are ok

but for internet banking and POEMS website, hmmm...need to go market and find if there is apps for them... coz Android and ipad the same cannot run java applets.

Actually be it 3G in DreamPad or tethering thru phone, all drain battery but just which one.

Another reasons consumer do not wish to have 3G on dreampad because of the monthly charges incurred per month and under use the free 12gb/16gb . So if total up for a yr or 2, it is quite a sum of money too. Some of them just brought an external battery for phone instead .. lolx...

The cheapest, most value for money tablet, is no doubt the Herotab C8 / Dropad A8 / Haipad M7. Over at DealExtreme, it is selling at 173 USD inclusive of courier charges.

I am a proud user of it. It is flashable to the latest 2.3 OS, with a built-in 4GB microSD, has a capacitive touch screen and best of all, a great community to support your tablet: http://www.slatedroid.com/forum/139-herotab-c8dropad-a8/

After installing PhoenixROM 1.0, the tablet instantly becomes a wonder. I'm not exaggerating because I don't work for any tablet vendors. Android Market works, Skype with video works, and so far, I've not encountered a problem.

Also, to whoever is worried about bricking Android tablets, it does not apply to this one. I repeat, you can NEVER brick this tablet. Sounds too ridiculous? Yes, I thought this is bullshat until I really bricked mine and unbricked it. If you understood the internals of the Android tablet, you'll understand the reason why it can never be bricked. More info over at Slatedroid: http://www.slatedroid.com/topic/19289-guide-revive-your-dead-tablet/

Companies are single entities which could open and close over time; a proper community will never die.
