those are special vintage pieces, i'm talking about in TS case who plans to buy one now today brand new without buying 2nd hand.

though i didnt mention steve mcqueen or clint eastwood, but i did mention paul newman daytonas which is also in the same breath more or less. back then rolex subs less than $1000, back then, our parents don't make alot, fishball noodle is $0.10, police is wearing shorts. If investing the money in equities is a illusion of richness then what isn't? working till u cannot work anymore? compared to 'investing' in a rolex, at least buying etf is a proper investment. when u need to cash out, it is usually not a time of your choosing

Theyre weren't special vintage when it was first launched. It is now.
As u put it so aptly, rolex was abt $1K & a fishball noodle is $0.10.
A sub now is about $10k & the same ball of noodle is $3.00.
Now which item has been inflated, with time of coz, over the last 5 decades?
Are you saying ETF will RISE all the time? Cmon.......

Aiya, u get a famous rich person to wear a fake watch, everyone will also think it a super expensive limited vintage watch.

If you are nobody, poor and self-inferior person, given the chance to wear a real PP watch or any class rolex, people will think it fake.

It the overall that bring up a person image (if you care a lot) and what you wear or dress or live is what people make up of, and not yourself.

U only live once, if a watch can make you happy, it worth every single cent.

If you need to struggle to keep up a public image, even it free, it not worth it.

Normally those people who want to buy a more than 10K watch, they are using their spare cash (really no where to spend) to buy.

If you need to squeeze , budget , and to worry about this and that, you should not consider Rolex.

It is just a beautifully made watch. Yes, a watch. Just like you handphone, watch.

SO please don't lose sleep over this, there are many much more problems in life for you to solve. This is the least priority things you should get worry about.
