Bro Nimman (if you count from huay kaew Rd) and old city not even 1km away. Tourist stay in old city better lah got the tourist vibe and tour agencies.

CM is big with lots of hidden gems. There are many 网红店, like thousands of them. You can drive 15mins out and came across a super huge and beautiful cafe with zero customer. And you be wondering how they upkeep the place. Not to mention there are literally hundreds of artsy fartsy cafes within the main city.

If you want to try fusion khao soi, can try Khao-So-i. Need to be there before they open, parking is at the building opposite only. I went there first time and go back home after seeing the queue. Second time I arrived before they open, already 40mins queue. I am not sure about now though long time no go there.

If you are staying in the old city, try this place CHUM Northern Kitchen @Old City. Beautiful and delicious. Can try out the different Nothern food that you may not easily find it in CM.

For massage, one of the best is Makkha Health&Spa near Le Méridien hotel. The skill is superb, price cheap, atmosphere very good, and they serve mango sticky rice! In CM, you don't want to do your massage at road side or cheap shop, spend about $20+ sgd can enjoy a full spa facilities.

Never try massage at road side, at most in weekend market in BKK.

if can tahan 1.5hr drive can try doi ithanon, thailand highest peak. no need to hike as got road going up.

If cannot tahan, go up Wat Phra That Doi Suthep by road. 45min away from the old city. Good view of the city and the airport from the temple.
