I use my sg number to register for account. Able to buy, amend and cancel train tickets. But unable to reserve train tickets when the window period open. Cos I didn’t do the verification process.

Trip com is more convenient but have to pay surcharge.

You need to go to ticket counter of any station and ask them to scan your passport into their system. You only need to do this once and then you can proceed to book on their Railway 12306 app.

No need to give login details. Don't need local Chinese mobile number.

Just tell the ticket counter staff that you want to book ticket via their app and you want your passport details to be in their system.

If you renew passport, visit again, one time only.

In the end i took the gold bus as well to the port n use the train in sz with alipay. Dint go to alot place just 1 place nia n i got lost in the mall(duno how to come out) when i manage to come out it was drizzling. Since it was already 4plus ingo back check point to go back. Not very crowded thought got many ppl it was moving very fast. In fact too fast for me i got many barang barang tie onto me so need take off for the scanning

Not possible. The compartment is very narrow, can only fit a 20in luggage the most.
For a 28 in luggage, your best bet is the space behind the last row of seats or at the luggage compartment.

Also dangerous as it can call and hit someone. The train staff are likely to ask you to remove.

Gates open 30 minutes before departure. Don't be late. Trains don't stay long at stops.

No way. It will be a safety issue. You don't want to be sitting near it yourself.

If booking on 12306, ability to change to English language. Only set back is unable to select seats, unlike the Chinese interface. Changing of timing also instantaneous. No admin fees to pay, like booking via Trip.

What's your group size?

I don't think it's dependent on klook or Trip.

Usually travel with group of friends, most times are in same carriage and not far from each other. No guarantee though. When that happens change seats among yourselves.

booked my tickets using klook today but there is a notice that only passengers that has booked before can book. downloaded 12306 app but cant seem to receive verification email and also cant verify passenger. so mafan. any workaround pls?

Use Trip.com
