Looking at a couple of Windows 10 tablets, which will be better for Photoshop ?
1.1 ghz x 4 cores ( boost 2.6ghz )
2.0 ghz x 2 cores ( boost 3.1ghz )
Depends on what you want to do on Photoshop... if it's simple editing with small files, then I don't think either matters much... but if doing complex stuff, and handling large files, then I think quad core better... but whichever way, just have to be patient I guess... RAM is also very important... more is better, especially handling large files...

[ b ] 2.0 ghz x 2 cores ( boost 3.1ghz )

photoshop's multicore performance is not linear.

4-core is only 25% faster than 2-core based on the same clock speed.

if [a] is boosted to 2.6GHz, is boosted to 3.1GHz, [a] is 5% faster

if using the original clock speed, is 30% faster

BTW, is it good to boost from 1.1 to 2.6 ?

While Teclast gets busy with their latest T40 Plus, Alldocube has also launched their much anticipated iPlay 40 Pro, with 8Gb Ram and 256Gb storage and Android 11.

i think the $199.99 is USD.

if can get at this price over the iplay 40 at original price not accounting coupons etc.

more storage and android 11 :o

android 11 is already more attractive since i doubt iplay40 gonna upgrade to 11 or more :o

Definitely the iPlay 40 won't get upgraded to Android 11, unless some dude at XDA decides to write a ROM for it... that would be outstanding but I'm not holding my breath... so if you want Android 11, this is the tablet... but US$200 works out to about S$260 or so... still pretty steep, same ballpark as a grey import Samsung Tab A7... so this makes the tablet much less attractive than before...

Is the SOC comparable?

8gb versus 3gb of ram right? :o
256 gb rom versus 64 gb rom? :o

still will go for 8gb and 256 imo.

For existing iplay40 owners like me, the differences are mainly the storage and os. Ram is the same and I don't think just 1 gen os behind makes a killer difference.

Maybe this one maybe more worth an upgrade for me. We are going to be really spoilt for choices.

Much prefer a cleaner OS compared to MIUI unless can remove.

Been using the new miui , still find it bloated by default. :o

Really depends on whether the more polished interface in a Samsung is what you want lor... there are some advantages definitely... but for me I'm more interested to test the two to see how much difference... or to hear someone's feedback...

According to this reviewer, the CPU of iplay 40 pro was also clocked up for its A55 cores, bringing slight performance boost to this new model.
