anyone managed to obtain Multiple Entries Tourist (L) Visa ?

i called up this agency located at raffles place and they said only Single Entry L Visa (30 days) is issued these days

U should state your nationality.

Check the Chinese embassy website for visa types.

Better head for the visa office at 80 Robinson Road to check for yourself. It is a large office and they have a receptionist you can direct your questions at. There are many types of visas listed on a large board you can refer to.

i managed to get one some time back. you will need to attach your air tics and itineraries and explained why you need multiple entries. if you only show one-way tic, they are less acceptable to grant your application.

I recently tried to apply for Multiple Entry (L visa) too but was turned down. I had invitation letter from my friend but it didn't work. They say can only get 30 day visa (single entry). Would be keen to know if anyone has done it recently.

Hi, I'm new to this, from my knowledge, Visa free visit to China is 15days, can I stay longer than 15 days, if so, will I be able to apply for extension of this 15 days visa free visit, do I need to have a reason for my extension?, if my reason is visiting, will I be able to apply for extension? and how long can I extend to? 1 month? 2 months?

Your answer is at #3 on top.
They are very strict nowadays.
You need valid airtics and valid hotel bookings info if stay more than 15 days.

This one im not sure.....but i did ask this question at the recep....n his answer is a definite yes.
Anyway, u need to present your case to the officer when it is your turn.
So, it will be good to have all the documents ready.
Im sure you dun wish to get rejected then have to queue all over again.
And im not sure whether your friend will need to furnish your passport details to the local gongan.

China is the biggest f**k currently.
After XJP took over, there are tight controls.
It is easy to open account in china last time.....now....ask alot of questions if you are foreigner.
Tight control over movements of foreigners inside china.
Tight security checks at airport and metro.

Easy if in southern china....further off....will have some problems.
Unless need to visit multiple places, 14 days should be more than enough.

Another way is to ask your friend to check at his/her neighbouring public security office. Hopefully it is a major city and the officials there know if they have visa extension services and even a exit/entry administration bureau. This office is usually also where the local Chinese go to make their passports, fix something with their hukou. XX市公安局出入境管理局。
Of course with this method there is no guarrantee that you can get your extension until you are done with the process. You may be required to produce documents that you do not possess then and be subject to the complexities of the Chinese bureaucracy.

Where in china will you be ?
You can consider beanstalk6 advice.
But i still think it is better to get the visa issue settled at china visa center at robinson road.
If worst come to worst, take domestic to shenzhen....go to hk...get your pp chop....then go back again lor.

Not near to HK....unfortunately.

Dun leave it to chances in China....some websites say can extend at their embassy or whatever....but it is a hassle...since you are in foreign land.
It is a hassle already in SG, so do you think you will have it easier in China?

Just go to Chinese Visa Application Service Centre at 80 Robinson Road.
You should be applying L visa.
Can go up to 3 months....from Date of Issue.

Go apply return ticket.....this one no choice....
If need, then change date lor.

Also need the invitation letter from your Chengdu friend.

You go to the Service center...they will give you a L visa white slip....all the info documents needed are listed there.
You might need to make a few trips......

my cousin told me can be extended at police station, but i not sure how he did it, he stay there for around 2 months
