Their HKM is more than decent too.

At least for me.

Any recommendations for 1) super yummy Japanese food and 2) seafood?

I like Keria Izakaya at Cuppage, love the vibes. Needs booking, only does dinner, run by a japanese obasan, sometimes she mans the phone.

There is another izakaya nearby at the basement called Dosukoi x Donpachi but it is more a watering hole for japanese, decent food as well.

Wasabi Tei is another japanese eatery that I frequent when I dun feel like spending too much. No GST no Svc charge, very limited seats, abit like Midnight Diner: Tokyo Stories style, the current owner is friendly, the previous one more than decade back lashed at customers, but people kept going back.

Last fri and sat tried these.

♧ Black Thorn 黑刺

Not bad. But I still prefer the Penang 黑刺

20240720-021943-01.jpg

♧ Tupai King 松鼠王

Again, the penang breed taste better. Tis one is like fr younger tree. Complexity is there but not as intensed yet. More bitter than sweet wif slight alcoholic taste wif subtle numbing aftertaste. Not as creamy as MSW but is soft tender

♧ D88 小甜甜

Flavor is very subtle. A bit sweet, a bit bitter, a bit 果酸 taste. I dun like tis

@Whirling_Dervish apparently we all prefer Hai Tien Lo to Li Bai after trying out last evening

you back to perth? :s13:

What did you order at Li Bai?

Hai Tien Lo is great too, but Li Bai is better if you are a fan of the classic Cantonese dishes.

Yes, back to the grind!

I want to pay off my mortgage in 2 years! :s13:

its very bky to me lol

Why are you going to a pub when you are pregnant?

Any reason why pregnant cannot jiak durian? I only heard of cannot eat "cold" stuffs

The only fruits that they should avoid are things like rock melons, fruit salads, and pre-cut foods, due to the risk of contracting listeria.
